Mattheos POV

Screams still erupted through the dining room while flashes crossed over in every direction.  I had watched Ember leave and now I was scared she was in danger out there.  I ran out of the dining room almost making it to the front door when two hands brought me into a room.  I shoved them off and raised my wand to see Nymphadora. 

"Tonks?" I smiled taking her into a hug "wait why are you here?" I asked

"Oh you know, going against Uncle Voldy like usual" she twirled her wand

"Still in the rebellious stage are we"I smiled down at my cousin

"Look at you" she took my shoulders "you've grown so much" she sighed checking me over

Nymphadora and I used to be really close when we were younger, although my parents never knew that we were.  We still had that best friend relationship that I have with the boys back at Hogwarts. 

"You should go" I spoke taking her hands off my shoulders "its dangerous and I wouldn't want you to die right in front of me" I smiled again, god what is it with me smiling so much lately.

"That is true, Teddy and Lupin wouldn't be excited about that either" she sighed taking out her wand

"Teddy and Lupin?" I raise a brow

She put up her left hand showcasing a ring on her finger "Lupin is the husband and baby daddy to Teddy" she smiled looking at her ring in adoration

"Congratulations" I pushed her to the door "but leave" she waved and said goodbye before apparating away.  I stood there for some time before proceeding to the door and apparating to Hogwarts.  When I arrived I grabbed a bottle of liquor from my drawer and went to the library.  I sat down next to a book shelf automatically taking in the familiar smell.  Ember's smell always lurked around this area, the smell of books and flowers. 

I screwed the cap off the neck of the bottle and took a long swig.  I felt the liquid go down my throat soothing the dryness that had formed from all of the yelling of spells.  It was relaxing, taking in the drink and being able to lean back in the quiet.

I always hated peoples presence, but one I couldn't get out of my head was Embers.  No matter how much I wanted the quiet, when Ember came, her voice helped me relax. 

(Flashback)

IN THE LIBRARY (1 DAY AGO)

I sat against the bookshelf taking in more alcohol like usual.  Today had been rough, Father decided that the smile on my face needed to disappear because it was bringing his mood down.  He casted the crucio curse once more, but my mind went to Ember, I was only smiling because she gave me a foolish book called 'The Three Little Pigs'

It was a silly and dumb book but Ember laughed the whole time while I was reading watching my expressions.  I don't know where she found these books, but they were a good new.  When we both laughed at the idiocy of the pigs, the memory made me smile.  But it turned into a frown when Father was around.

While my eyes were closed and I was drinking some more alcohol Ember walked over to me and took it from my mouth "I don't want you to get lung cancer" she whispered setting the bottle down "or getting drunk" she sat next to me leaning her head on my shoulder "It means I would have to take care of your drunk horny ass" she giggled

I didn't answer, instead I fought back a smile and looked at all of the books straight ahead. Before I could do anything Ember was straddling my lap cupping my face in her soft hands.  "Mattheo" she whispered "what's wrong?" I leaned back against the wall again looking at the gorgeous girl in front of me.
