Ember POV

Its been a week since the party, and to say we have been left out of things was an understatement.  Us 'kids' were told to leave every time they discussed, I don't know what they're talking about but it was annoying.   And all of the other teenagers agreed, we all wanted to know what was going on. 

Today when we were eating, Sirius told us to meet him in the lounge.  So here we are, in the lounge waiting for Sirius and Lupin to get to the point.  All kids were here, Blake and I insisted that if anything was said to us then they could hear it too. 

"So" Sirius leaned forward resting his elbows on his knees "we wanted to tell you that we saw your parents at the party"

I stared shocked, unable to say anything.  My mouth stayed agape and Blake ended up taking my hand into a calming hold.

Blaise was muttering a bunch of curse words while Luna had insisted 'They forgot'

"Forgot what?" Blake asked

"We saw your parents" Blaise sighed "we're really sorry, with everything going o-"

"Its okay" I smiled.  Truth be told, I would have forgotten too. Living with 20 different people, trying to over hear conversations, my mind hasn't been the same. 

Blaise sighed in relief and leant back in his chair rubbing his temple.  Sirius had looked down at his hands but I was looking at him "what do we do?" I asked "we need to help them"

"You don't need to do anything" Lupin pointed a finger

Blake leaned back in his chair and shrugged "okay"

My head whipped in his direction and I narrowed my eyes at him but when I closely payed attention, I knew what he was doing, he used to do this all the time with Dad.

(Flashback)

Elijah was sitting on the couch while the kids were in their rooms.   Arabella was having a girls night so he was just going to hang out and rest.  That is, until Blake came into the room with Ember beside him.  They were whispering to one another but Elijah paid no attention to it and continued to scroll on his phone.

"Hey dad" Blake spoke sitting in front of him on the coffee table

Elijah slowly looked up from his phone and raised an eyebrow "mhm?" He hummed suspiciously

"You know, Moms out" Blake smirked leaning his elbows onto his knees

"Ah, is she, I hadn't noticed" Elijah smiled innocently even though his voice was filled with sarcasm

"So" Blake dragged out the 'o' "how about we" he patted Elijah's knee twice "Go Mini Golfing" he smiled

Elijah looked back down at his phone "if I remember correctly, your Mother said no more Mini Golf when you were arrested with some friends" he looked back up and patted his sons knee twice "so that's a no" Elijah stood up walking to the kitchen

"Okay" Blake shrugged leaning on the counter as Elijah took a pop out of the fridge

Elijah smirked in triumph and took a sip from his drink.  He watched Blake take an apple out of the bowl and bite it with a huge smirk.

Elijah put down the can and pointed a finger at Blake "your still going even if I said no, aren't you?" He asked

"Hm? No, you said we can't go" Blake walked out of the room but Elijah rushed to his side

"I was exactly like you two trouble makers" he followed Blake until he sat down on the couch beside Ember "I know when you're up to something"
