CHAPTER 13

Blakes POV

I think I pissed myself when we were up that high, although it felt like I was flying and nothing could stop me. Lorenzo would glance back every once and a while to see the huge smile on my face and the wind blew through my hair giving my head a push to look up to the stars above. Ember would have loved this, she would talk about each one individually like when we were kids.

(flash back)

Back in New York Blake and the family had just sat down to dinner after everyone's long day's. Blake sat next to Ember eating quietly, with worry eating at his mind. Tonight was the night, he wanted to share his sexuality and he couldn't be more scared.

"Mom, Dad" Blake spoke placing his fork down with a clink

"Whats up bud" Elijah spoke scooping some salad out of the bowl with the oversized spoon and fork.

"Um, I need to tell you guys something" he cleared his throat, Elijah and Arabella only replied with confused and worried glances to one another "I have come to realize that I'm-" he stopped finding a hard way to say what he needed to "I'm Bisexual"

Elijah and Arabella just stared, Elijahs hands were still on the Fork and spoon and Arabella's were sitting in her lap. Blake knew at that moment they wouldn't except him and stood up immediately, pushing the chair hard behind him.

Blake dragged his hands through his hair aggressively "god, never mind, I'm really sorry" he said on the verge of tears before rushing out of the back door into the forest, running as far as he could.

He stood at a flower garden that him and Ember had discovered when they were really young. He sat on the grass looking at all the flower's around him, there were lily's, which were Embers favourites and roses which were his favourite.

He felt a body sit next to him and he immediately tensed "I told them what bisexual means" Ember spoke "they hadn't known what it meant, thats why they froze"

Blake placed his elbows onto his knees and sunk his head low looking at the grass underneath him "I don't want to be a disappointment" he sighed "I want to be the normal son they wan-" before he could speak Ember hit him in the back of the head, hard.

"Normal son?!" She yelled "God Blake, you're everything they could ever ask for, your sexuality doesn't mean anything to what we think about you. We all love you unconditionally and whoever you fall in love with, boy or girl, will be treated like family"

"So, they aren't mad?" He questioned

"No" she snapped harshly "get that out of your head, it never passed through their heads. They were confused but when I told them, they were about to storm out here and tell you how much they love you" she narrowed her eyes at her brother sitting beside her "but I stopped them because than I would have had to tell them about our special spot"

The duo laughed and laid back onto the grass staring at the dark sky. Stars sparkled and Ember immediately started talking about the ones she knew. Blake didn't understand a single word she was saying but he still listened, smiling whenever a really long, funny name came up.

After another 30 minutes, they went back inside for Blake to be swarmed with a hug and kisses all over the face by his mom. Arabella was happy for her baby, she was also happy he told them. Elijah brought his son into a hug next and kissed the crown of his forehead, even if he was a teenager Elijah still saw him as his little boy. Elijah was happy that his son trusted them enough to tell them, it was a big step and he was proud.
