Third Person POVEmber had left Mattheo laying on the couch in the library as she joined everyone for breakfast. She suspected he would leave when he woke up, so she left him to get at least a couple more hours of sleep. Now everyone sat at the table eating and enjoying some conversations that were going around.
Ember wasn't really talking, but she was rather listening into Hermione and Draco's conversation. They weren't arguing this time but were talking about a book they both widely enjoyed reading back at Hogwarts. Hermione didn't even respond when she watched Draco grab a piece of bacon off her plate.
He took a bite still listening to a rabbling Hermione "but- no it wasn't her fault because the philosopher had said it wasn't a big deal. So obviously she listened to her superior and left that ingredient out, how would have she known"
Draco smiled wiping his hands on the napkin that rested in his lap "well, if he was so superior as everyone had insisted obviously she would listen, but that didn't mean she could go and blame Arlo when he was just the help, how would he have known" Draco pointed out
Hermione gasped "have you not read the whole book?"
Draco smirked and shook his head "I skipped a page here and there"
Hermione dropped her fork and turned her full body to Draco while he took her sausage and yet again Hermione still didn't notice.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy" she scolded "why would you do that? You missed the fact that Arlo knew all along" she turned back to her food and took a very angry bite of toast "preposterous" she muttered
Draco had known Arlo knew all along, in fact he read that part five times because he loved it so much. But he loved seeing Hermione become more passionate with the book more than anything else. He watched Hermione over his glass as he took a slip, even if she had a pouty slouched figure, she couldn't be more beautiful.
A lot of forks fell onto plates in a flash making huge clanks erupt in the room. Mattheo stood at the dining room doorway frozen with his mouth agape. He was also shirtless, in only grey sweatpants.
Ember stays shocked, how stupid could he be? he's not supposed to be here. Mattheo looked at Ember for a reassuring smile or something that may help him get out of this situation, but she had a blank and shocked stare. Everyone slowly turned their heads where Mattheos eye sight was, which was on Ember.
She shrunk a little in her seat rubbing her aching temple.
Draco stood up with a piece of bacon in his mouth a patted Mattheo hard on the back "had a little fun last night?" He wiggled his eyebrows
Mattheo smacked him in the back of the head and while Draco was busy rubbing the painful smack away, Mattheo snatched the bacon out of his mouth and took a bite. Everyone was still staring as the two interacted arguing over stupid bacon.
When a throat cleared they both looked at Sirius "why are you here Mattheo?" He asked gesturing to a seat
Draco quickly went and got Mattheo a shirt which he took right away and put on "nice to see you too dear......" he looked at Draco "what is he? 2nd, 3rd?"
Draco put on his thinking cap momentarily "2nd, our Mother's first cousin, our second cousin" he grabbed another bacon but this time it was from Theodores plate.
"Ah, good to see you too 2nd cousin" Mattheo smirked taking a seat beside Ember as Molly instructed, he didn't want to get on the mama bears bad side today. But he so desperately wanted to leave.
"How is it you are always related to someone" Lorenzo asked looking at Draco
Draco laughed with his mouth full but quickly swallowed "The Blacks are busy" he smirked "Maybe a Riddle too"
