Third Person POV

"Dad? Mom?" Ember gasped

Both parents stood up and when Elijah took a step forward Ember ran over and jumped into his arms.

Elijah squeezed Ember as hard as he could, making sure that this was really her.  Blake left Lorenzos side and ran into the hut hugging his Mother.  She kissed his cheek and mumbled words such as "I was so worried" and "I love yous"

The kids switched parents and Elijah took Blake by his shoulders and hugged him.   Blake took in his Fathers scent, his bear hugs, the home feeling.  Ember was hugging her Mom, tearing up from the lost of comfort she didn't know she needed from them.

Elijah awkwardly coughed when he noticed Mattheo and Lorenzo standing at the doorway lightly conversing.

"Oh" Blake cut in "This" he took Lorenzo by the hand and led him to his parents "is Lorenzo, um- my boyfriend"

"Nice to meet you" Elijah smiled giving him a handshake and Arabella welcomed him into a hug.

Mattheo leaned against the doorway with arms crossed.  He didn't think Ember would introduce him, I mean, there was no point.

Ember went over to Mattheo "I want to properly introduce you"

Mattheo grinned "as what darling? My occasional fuck buddy?"

Ember smiled, she wished she could say that, just for the joke "no" she shook her head "as Mattheo Riddle"

Mattheo frowned slightly but still smiled warmly "well go on then"

Ember took his hand and led them over to the other four. 

"Mom, Dad" Ember started "this as you may know, is Mattheo Riddle"

"I believe we have met" Elijah smirked knowing well enough Mattheo had a huge thing for his daughter.

"Ah, yes, back at the Manor? Maybe dangling on a cliff? I can't quite remember" Mattheo replied sarcastically

"Wait, a cliff? Who was dangling off a cliff?" Blake raised an eyebrow

"Your scandalous Mother of course" Elijah laughed and she jabbed an elbow into his ribs.

"Only to survive from the huge snake"  Arabella grimaced when remembering the events that happened just the night before.

The next minute the hut door bursts open and bodies shuffle through.  The ground rumbles and loud bangs come from outside. 

"We have a problem" Theodore yells in the room over the loud eruption

"What's going on?" Elijah yells grabbing his wife's hand. They run out of the hut following Theodore and the rest of the group.

They all looked up at the school, one that was now smoking.  Fire erupting from the tower and brick sides.  Faint screams and yells were heard followed by flashes of light. 

Ember stared in horror, the thought of so many dead bodies. The thought that it was her fault. She instantly ran forward, ignoring the yells and pleas behind her.  She ran through a broken hole in the wall and dodged falling rocks.  She saw Neville fighting someone but needed to ignore it for now and run.  When she turned back to see if he was okay the man was lying on the ground with Neville standing over him. 

She smiled but turned to the stairs and sprinted forward, climbing two at a time until she reached the top. 

Harry, Ron and Hermione were fighting off people.  She joined instantly taking down the Death Eater who was fighting Hermione.
