One Day

I cried all night

Without a single light

Thinking about life

Thinking to give up and become a wife

I slept until noon

Just lying in my bedroom

My imagination is my only sanctuary

But even so, it's only temporary

Tomorrow's here

I think I'll go look for some cheer

Six in the morning

Folks still yawning

I'm about to get the sun

To find something fun

Bright up early

Full of glee

I'ma catch a worm

Maybe get a perm

I'm about to get the sun

And go for a run

I'm feeling the love

Free as a dove

I'm feeling positive today

Unlike yesterday

I'm gonna find my way

I'm gonna be A-okay

Walking far and wide

Thinking myself silly for the thought of being a bride

Feeling strong

And all along

Searching for my song

This is catching on

I'ma gonna sing this song

C'mon folks, sing along

Gather round, stomp the ground

Dance to the beat and move your feet

If only one day

It could be like this all day

Every day
