There were once dragons that roam the earth

Long before humanity's birth

Some big, some small

Some tremendously tall

They ruled the skies

They occupied the seas

As far as the eye can see

Them Kings among creature and beast

Until the day mankind fought

Against a foe is what they thought

Creatures to be feared

But that all disappeared

When a lesson mankind was taught

Time went past, and then at last

They do realize, dragons now are allies

What was once their cursed enemy

Now carries them across the sea

Face all threat and befriend those along their journey

But then came a time

The words 'Peace' and 'Dragons' together was a crime

Coexistence of dragons among mankind

It was preposterous to the traditional Viking mind

And wicked men have the highest greed

With that they took the lead

They manipulated, 'Hunt, kill or be Hunted and Killed'

Oh, what they have instilled

So the great sky dragons, and giant sea beasts

Crawled back to the sea

Leaving nor a fang, nor a bone

For man to remember them alone

Legends, however, do say

When the ground quakes

And the earth shakes

While lava spew

And ash cloud the blue

It's the dragons waiting there

Telling us that they are here

Waiting for the day

For us to figure out how to get along

And recognize our wrong

The world believes that dragons are gone

If they even existed at all

But we Berkians know otherwise

For we saw them with our own eyes

We guard the dragon secret

And await the day we long yearn

For the Dragons' Return
