hey , you must be thinking who am I ? oh , me . nothing much , I'm ash . medium messy hair with dark brown eyes , freckles too . I live in the rental houses not too far away from the city state as you can see . just another ordinary high school kid you'll see walking down the hallways , ordinary ? yeah probably not that ...

the world is cruel one way or another , I learned it since a long time ago . I hate everyone , if I could I wish that a fucking meteorite could just crush the earth . yeah a meteorite . well I guess I have a friend , her names jen .

I'm new to the school several months ago and happen to transfer to my new school the same timing as jen . So we were like the new kids and yeah . we became friends . Jen is an amazing friend I swear , she's really athletic unlike me , I don't really participate in physical education classes , Im too tired for those , it drains my energy really . Jen got quite popular in school due to the fact of her sportiness and beauty . She's sporty , pretty , her hair is always tied up in a Low ponytail , silky died with a tint of dark brown and the rest light brown . well , jen , she always makes me happy and all , I enjoy being with her . Normally days are dull in my old school , but no one must know why .

" hey ash " I heard jen called .

" hey " I replied , turning around .

" have you heard ? " she looked at me with those eyes . damm . she looked beautiful , green leafy coloured eyes , glazing below the sun rays outside the windows . " ash ? ashh " i jumped and got back to my senses .

" haha.. sorry I was spacing out ! " I replied with a hoarse voice .

" ahh okay , back to what I wanted to say , have you heard about what happen.." jen looked at me , smiley-faced as she smiled widely .

" oh , about ? I asked .

" well you see ... " she jerked me with her hand on my shoulders . I suddenly had butterflies in my stomach but shakes the thought out . " well , I got a boyfriend ! " she announced , delightful .

On the contrary , I didn't really felt cheerful or anything , I didn't really care . " really ? " I gasped , trying to sound like I cared . " yeah ! and guess who it is ... " she looked at me , anticipating my answer .

I stared hard at her , thinking and suddenly , a boy came up striding towards her . I lowered my head as he came closer , he put his arms around jen and that kind of sparked something inside inside of me .

" yo ! Jen ! " he said .

Oh , it's the jackass . One of the popular kids , I mean .

" just in time ! Ash .. this is my boyfriend , connor . " Jen pointed towards Connor .

I lift up my head to come eye to eye with Connor , wearing a brown plated sweater over a turtle-neck white shirt with blue jeans . He stared back at me and looked at me giving me a eye . oh god . why do I want to punch him so bad . The longer I stared at him the more I wanted to beat the living shit out of him , I pictured him with his nose bleeding and soon started grinning . Before I realised what I was doing , I quickly lowered my head again .

" He's okay " , I shot a look at him and told Jen.

" We'll go first . " Getting jolted out of my thoughts , Connor pulled Jen away from me and soon walking away from the hallways.

As I watched them walk away .

my heart sank .
