chp 15

I felt like I was resurfacing from the murky depths of a deep swamp as anger boiled in .

" we should get a shower before we get going . " Xenette spoked up facing me , she wasn't even a little fazed .

i could tell they were trying to calm me down as I couldn't keep my expressions to myself either .

but a shower did sound great . I itched at the thought of not bathing for a day , and stil ness kind of settled on my arms and legs .

the more I thought about it , the more it itches so I quickly shook off the thought .

I nodded fast and Xennete started to laugh .

I let out a forced chuckle trying to fit in the mood , " don't worry , I'll be there too , he isnt going to hurt you anytime . " xenette assured me .

" you should go take a bath first , I'll prepare some clothes for you . " xenette mentioned after .

I laughed nervously and looked at my feet , I gave another quick nod and went to find the bathroom .

" it's at the left ! " As i walked out , I heard Xennete called .

" sure thing . " I replied .

I walked through the house and took a left , just as I was about to enter a room that seemed to have a shower a photo frame caught my eye .

It was two other people and also Xennete , I assumed it was their mother and father .

They both looked rather stern , wearing a neat attire that only a few do , one of them wearing a leather coat over a designer laced brown dress and the other wearing a full-on suit . they looked really gorgeous , I saw Xennete at the side .

suddenly I had this temptation to ask Xennete why they looked like that , when they were a kid , xenette was a little kid in that photo and they were wearing shirt pants and a baggy tee-shirt that had the colourful word - happy on it .

they still had the bright smile on , and that made me smile at it too .

I soon jolted out of my thoughts and quickly went to the room and went to the shower .

it was quite a charismatic sight .

I then step into a shower and took a quick bath , I didn't want to waste time and the wounds still sting , I couldn't stop thinking about Connor and Jen and that made me even more frustrated .

just as I was about to hit the wall , I remember it wasn't my house and quickly kept my hands it my own self and nodded knowingly .

I then took a random towel at the side , wrapped myself up and ran to the room .

" hey .. your done- " Xennete turned around and had their eyes widen .

" sorry .. i don't have clothes right now and I took a random towel , is this okay ? " I asked .

" it's okay .. here help yourself on the chair , " she pointed to a chair not too far away and quickly looked away covering her face .

I was rather confused but didn't think much .

I grabbed the clothes and I heard Xennete walking out to take shower .

" nice photo of you and your family , when are they coming back ? " I suddenly thought and asked .

" they're somewhere else in the world , doing business , I doubt they will come back any time soon . " I heard Xennete paused and her voice hinted with a tinge of sadness .

I paused , realising I brought up a sensetive topic .

" I'm sorry to hear that , don't worry , if you want me to .. I can come over and we can talk so that the atmosphere isn't that quiet haha .. " I urged myself to say something .
