As they made the trek, Din took the time to explain to her how the magistrate, in her expensive-looking homestead, offered him a spear made of Beskar in exchange for catching the Jedi. Along with that, she had also supplied them with the coordinates of the Jedi's last known position.
Forced to trudge deep into the forest, past the position they had parked the Crest, Ellia noted briefly that the sun appeared to be on the way down.
They ducked under some low-lying roots, and when they emerged on the other side, Din glanced around them briefly.
"Well, these are the coordinates." he said. "Keep your eyes open. We must be close."
Ellia looked around the clearing. But it was just dead tree after dead tree. Nothing appeared to be living except for a single, strange looking owl creature perched on one of the highest branches above their heads.
Taking a few steps forward, Din used his helmet to search for tracks. When suddenly, there was a far off groan. As if something had broken a tree limb, sending it crashing to the ground a few yards behind them.
Ellia glanced back at Din worriedly.
"You hear that?" he asked.
She nodded, again her head swiveled around their position, stepping a bit further down the path.
Din took the child out of his pack, placing him down on the large rock to his right.
"Don't worry. Sit right here." he ordered, "Let us see what's out there."
Using one of his hand-held scanning devices, Din looked towards the distance where the sound had come from.
"False alarm" he sighed, noting the far off creatures munching on the dead trees.
However, no sooner did he say that, did a shape launch down from the branches above them. A bright light illuminated Ellia's vision, and Din barely even had time to block himself with his beskar wrist gauntlets.
The attacker, who she could now see was wielding two white bars of light, swung down at Din several times. So quick, all Ellia could do was watch as he continued to block them desperately.
He somehow managed to dispense a stream of fire from one of his gauntlets, forcing the attacker to backflip away, ditching their grey cloak in the process. As they landed on their feet, Din wrapped a grappling cord around their middle, and that's when Ellia finally got a good look at the attacker.
It was a Togruta. She, as far as Ellia could tell, had orange skin, white and blue tendrils that reached down to the middle of her torso, and intricate white markings lining her face.
Looking up towards the trees above them, the Togruta jumped up, flinging herself over a low hanging branch, stringing up an unsuspecting Din in the process.
She landed directly in front of Ellia as the Mandlorian frantically cut himself down, but she didn't seem to be paying her any attention. Quickly, she illuminated her light swords again and sliced through the wire like it was nothing. When she turned back to the Mandalorian, that's when Ellia was finally spurred to action.
Running forward, she foolishly placed herself in the middle of the two warring sides, raising her hands up with palms outstretched towards either of them.
"Wait!" she cried out. "Ahsoka Tano?"
At the sound of the name, the Torguta appeared to have a reaction. Because of that, Ellia felt a bit more confident.
"Bo-Katan sent us." Ellia explained further, now finding that the Torguta was really listening, cocking her head to the side.
She felt Din arrive close to her side, sliding his blaster back into its holster, a few tired breaths escaping from underneath his helmet.
