After a few more minutes of waiting, that all too familiar sound of gunfire erupted from the south side of the base, just above the hydro-power system.

Ellia pointed her scope over there instantly, and through it she was able to make out what was clearly Din and Mayfeld, breaking out of a window, a few troopers hot on their tail. She shot one of them down quickly.

"South wall. Halfway up." she informed those at her side.

"Got 'em" Fennec responded.

"Once or twice my ass." Cara muttered with a huff as she shifted her own gun in her hands.

The three of them kept the runners as safe as they could as they made their escape to the roof. Fennec brought the commlink to her lips again, hailing Boba.

"We're on. Start your run."

"On my way." his gruff voice responded.

Another trooper climbed out of the window, but Ellia didn't even give him time to stand up before she picked him off. Fennec on the other hand, shifted her focus to the roof, where she began her powerful assault on the cannons.

"Three shooters. Top deck." she called out.

"Got 'em" Cara responded, "Ellia, keep covering their escape."

"Yes ma'am" Ellia said, both serious and sarcastic at the same time.

Ellia cleared off two more troopers running down the side of the building, as Cara cleared the roof, just as the Slave I roared over the sky above them. With the brief distraction, two troopers managed to slip onto the top side undetected.

It took Ellia a few extra shots to eliminate the threat.

At the far end of the roof, Boba lowered his ship, the hatch sliding open.

More troopers attempted to climb up from underneath, but with the combined firepower of the snipers and the two men on the roof, they made easy work of the escape.

Din and Mayfeld made a jump for the open ramp, sailing onto the platform.

It wasn't until the ship lifted up and out of range that Ellia, Fennec, and Cara finally got to rest their arms. As it pulled away, back towards the forest, one last shot rang out from the back, hitting a pile of Rydonium on one of the lower levels of the base, sending the entire place up in flames in the most glorious of explosions.

From where the three were hunkered down on the ridge, Fennec scoffed in admiration.

"Nice shot" she remarked.

Ellia had to agree as she watched, grinning, as the flames billowed into the clear, blue sky.

Their celebration barely even had time to start, as suddenly two tie fighters shot up from the surface, targeting the Slave I.

Ellia opened her mouth to say something, but Fennec casually shouldered her rifle.

"Boba will take care of it." she said as if it was nothing, "Come on. We need to make it back to the rendezvous point."

They both heeded her words, scrambling down from the ridge in order to make it back into the cover of the forest.

Not long after they did, there was a loud, and satisfying sounding explosion that came from above their heads. Glancing up into the sky, Ellia was just able to see the fading remnants of the light blue ring of a seismic charge as it dissipated along with the scraps of the tie fighters.

Fennec shot a look over her shoulder that simply read, "I told you so" as they kept walking.

Pushing through the brush, they found the Slave I already waiting for them.
