'I've always wanted to marry a prince. A handsome prince.' I thought as I watched the beautiful stars in the beautiful night sky.

'I've always wanted to be rich, like all my friends ; Judith, Jess, Ariana and the others.'

'Why am I not rich? Why did God choose them?'

My thoughts were distracted when my mom called me.

'It's raining Emily. Come and cover the gaps in the windows before rain enters the rooms.'

'Coming mom!' I shouted back. I ran and covered the gaps and spaces.

I stared at the window. It had so many gaps in it. Every month, daddy says that he'll fix these gaps when he gets the next month's salary. He didn't fix these in a year. I don't understand why he doesn't fix them.

I'm Emily. I'm eighteen. I live in the outskirts of Beverly hills. I live in a place which we call house. I see the houses of my friends. They live in Beverly hills. They think I'm rich, too. Which I'm absolutely not.

Maybe I feel that way because I'm the runt of the family.

The rain is getting heavier as the sky is getting darker. Daddy's not home yet. Maybe he's caught in the rain. Maybe he got lost in the rain. A cloud of thoughts filled my head. My dad is forty five and mum is thirty nine. I study in a school in Beverly hills, California. That's why I have the friends who live there too. Mine is an expensive school but I don't know where does dad get enough money from.

Daddy says he has a very good job. Not many people in the USA have such good job
