Chapter 43

Bella's POV

When we got to the reservation. I saw everyone pacing back and forth. Everyone stood still when they saw me and Kate. Irina ran forward. "Bella! We'll find Charlie..." I nodded.

I looked to Leah, she kept her head down, refusing to look at me. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her. "It's okay Leah, it isn't your fault."

I looked around to see Tanya wasn't there. "Guys, where's Tanya?" Irina sighed. "She's trying to track Charlie."

Just as Irina said that, Tanya appeared with a squirming Charlie in her arms. "Tanya put me down!" Tanya laughed and set Charlie on her feet. Me and Kate walked over to Charlie with our arms crossed.

"Well?" Charlie rolled her eyes. "I just wanted to meet Edward." I frowned. "Why?" Charlie frowned. "To find out why he didn't want me..."

I sighed and pulled Charlie into a hug. "Listen baby, Edward isn't a good person, I promise one day I'll tell you everything you could possibly want to know about him, but not now, your too young to really understand any of it."

Charlie sighed but nodded. Charlie pulled away from me and walked over to Leah. Leah pulled her into a hug. I smiled as they walked away.

I turned to Kate who was smiling. She reached her hand out to me, I rolled my eyes but took her hand. I squealed when she pulled me into her body and picked me up bridle style. "We'll worry about Edward another time, right now I want some alone time with my mate."

Kate winked and whisked me off into the woods.
