Chapter 7

Bella's POV

The tears were streaming down my face, a sob tore from my throat, I couldn't stop shaking, Kate sat on the bed with me and held me. Charlie couldn't be dead...my dad couldn't be dead.... I put my head on Kate's shoulder and cried, Kate ran her hand in my hair.

I didn't realise I had fallen asleep, when I woke up everyone was gone apart from Kate. She smiled sadly at me. It was a dream...it had to be...Alice wasn't here neither was Edward...Charlie wasn't dead...

Kate gently grabbed my hand. I don't know why she looked so sad, I was okay, I wasn't going to try anything again. "Kate what's wrong? Where's Charlie? Is he outside?" Kate looked confused. "Bella don't you remember...Alice-"

I shook my head. "No, his not dead, it was a bad dream, that's all his not he can't be, he can't!"

Kate gently grabbed my face. "Bella, look at me, you need to breathe, I am so, so sorry about your dad, Edward will pay for what his done I swear"

Kate let go of me. "What were you trying to tell me before...before Alice came in, you said I was your?"

Kate shook her head. "Bella now's not the time, you need time to grieve" I needed to know.

"Kate please...I need to know...please?"

Kate sighed "Your my mate Bella...you were never Edward's" I nodded my head.

Before I could say anything the nurse came in, telling me that I could go home after I spoke to a specialist at the hospital.

Kate left while I spoke to the specialist, and once convincing them that I wasn't going to do anything and it wasn't a suicide attempt they agreed to let me go. I started getting myself ready to go home...

Kate's POV

I walked back into the room to see Bella out of bed and already changed into her clothes. I walked over to her. "Want me to drop you home?" Bella looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Or you could come stay with me and my family?" She looked hopeful "Are you sure that's okay."

I nodded "Of course it is Bella, come on let's go" I felt Bella place her hand in mine, I smiled to myself. We got in the car and drove to where me and my family were staying, they weren't surprised when I walked in with Bella, they had a feeling she would be staying with us.

When we got in I took Bella to my room, Bella climbed on the bed to lie down, I went to walk out of the room, when she grabbed my hand to stop me. I looked back at her. "Please don't go" I smiled at her and led down behind her wrapping my arms around her gently, I stayed with her until she fell asleep.

I quietly left the room and went downstairs to see my family waiting for me. "How is she?" Tanya asked concern clearly seeping through. "She's sad...I don't think it's sunken in yet...what are we going to do about Edward.

Tanya gestured for me to sit down, so I did. "I spoke to Carlisle, they don't know where Edward is, but they're coming back to town...tonight"

I jumped up. "Well they better not come here! That would just upset Bella more, I swear to god she doesn't need anything else happening, she's already lost her dad!" Tanya put a calming hand on my shoulder.

"We'll figure something out"

Bella's POV

I woke up to see...the sun peeking in through the window...I turned to see Kate gone...I slowly got up and get dressed. I could faintly hear shouting from downstairs.

As I walked down the stairs, I was shocked at what I saw...The Cullen's...

Carlisle smiled at me sadly "Hello Bella"
