"Black"

"Jasmine! Get down!"

Suddenly, my body flew in the air. Parang nagslow mo ang lahat. I felt a hot hand holding my waist tightly. I look up and I saw a higher level of demon: their skin was burned to black, but there's a bit of fire in their skin. They have no eyes but their sharp teeth were visible, and also the shape of their nose is not like any one of us, it only has two holes. I saw Cadmus trying to hold my hand before I went far from him, but some of the demons appeared on both of his sides, they held him back. Trying to stop him from flying.

"Cadmus!" I cried. "N-No!"

I can't see him anymore because he was covered with demons. I didn't realize that I'm shouting because of fear. I closed my eyes tightly. I heard everything. I felt everything. I smell everything. I opened my eyes and even my eyes were covered with tears, I still saw what was happening.

Nakita kong nasusunog ang mga building, nagsitakbuhan ang mga tao because demons were trying to catch them. Marami sila, napakarami. Bakit nangyayari ito? Bakit ginagawa nila ito? I scream when I saw the demon killed someone.

"N-No! Why a-are you doing this?!" Pumiglas ako sa pagkahawak ng demon sa akin but I heard him laughed.

"You want to know why? Because lord Dean wants you." I closed my eyes when I heard his voice. It was so deep. I got goosebumps all over my body.

Sino si lord Dean? Why does he want me? Why is he doing this? I opened my eyes when I heard another scream. I want to help them but I don't know how. I'm not strong. I don't know how to fight and how to get out of his hold.

"Jasmine!"

"J-Jasmine!"

I look around. I saw Topher and Cadmus. Reina and Rheo. They were fighting with their weapons. Cadmus flew from the ground but the demon stopped him again. I scream when he hit his head in the tree. But he stood up, blood was flowing in his face.

I cried. Napahawak ako sa kamay ng demon na nasa aking bewang. I held it tightly, and I heard him grunt. I felt a hot tear in my eyes. I groan when I felt my body is aching. It was like my body is in fire. It's burning inside. I scream when I felt something in my back, parang may hinihiwa ang aking likod, at napapaso dahil sa init. I felt dizzy and I can't see a thing. I look everywhere but all I can see is light. At patagal na patagal, humihina ang pandinig ko and all I can hear is my scream of pain. What's happening to me?

I closed my eyes. I saw the pitch black. I thought the pain I felt will go away when I blink, but I'm wrong. I lost myself. I don't know what I am doing anymore. Am I dreaming? All I can see is light.

I heard the demon scream. A scream of pain. He let go of me because of that. I looked at him and I felt his fear.

He's holding his hand. Pain and fear were drawn in his face. I went closer but he got away. I tried to come up with him, at sa isang iglap. Nasa harap ko na siya. Umawang ang labi niya sa gulat at kahit ako ay nagulat sa bilis ko. I felt something in my back, I tried to move it. My lips parted when I saw a pair of wings. The color of my wings is gold and it was glowing brightly. It is not covered with feathers, instead, it covers with light.

"P-Paanong—" Napatingin ako sa kanya nang narinig ko siyang magsalita. Nung sinubukan kong lumapit sa kanya he tried to get away again but I immediately held his neck. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko, pinipilit makawala.

But... I stopped when I saw my hand was glowing. My skin is glowing. I looked to my other hand to check if it's the same, and... it is.

"You show your real self so easily." He said struggling with my hold. Tumingin ako sa kanya.

"What do you mean?" My hold tightens.

He didn't say anything, instead, he laughed. Nagulat ako nang tumulo ang kanyang luha. The demon is crying in front of me.

"Pareho kayong lahat." Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. Hindi ko siya maitindihan.

"M-My lord will kill all of you. Lalo na sa mga taong m-malalapit sayo."

May nabuong galit sa aking puso. Naalala ko si tita Cecil, tita Celestia, at tita Celeste. The screams inside of our house before my horse ran away from my home. The tears flowing in tita Celeste's cheek before I lost sight of her.

"H-How dare you! Because of you!—"

My holds went tight because of my anger but I didn't realize that he's already gone, naging abo siya bigla. Nang dahil sa galit ko, napatay ko siya. Nahulog ang kanyang abo sa ere. Pinagmasdan ko iyon habang inihip ng hangin ang kanyang labi ng abo. I don't know why pero tumulo ang luha ko. Napapikit ako ng mariin.

"Jasmine! Where are you?!" I heard his voice.

I stunned. I almost forgot. I listened and followed his voice. I look around and I saw Cadmus from afar trying to get away from the demons. They were flying and he was covered with them. His glowing white big wings were spreading, ready to get away but he stopped when he saw me. He gulped.

"J-Jasmine?"

Uminit ang aking mga mata at sumakit ang dibdib ko nang nakita kong pinapalibutan siya. Suddenly, I went fast near them. A weapon was forming from my hand while I was coming to them. It's a sword, it was made of light with a sun symbol in its handle.

As I went near them, they looked at me. When they saw me, they went away from Cadmus, not only to him but also to the people they are chasing or fighting with. Pinuntahan nila ako lahat at pinalibutan.

I heard them calling me pero hindi ko na iyon napansin pa nang pinalibutan nila akong lahat. Tinaas ko ang aking espada.

"Do you think you could defeat us with that?"

Biglang umilaw ang itaas nang hinawakan ko ang aking espada gamit ang dalawang kamay. Kahit gabi na, bumalik ang sinag ng araw para bigyan lakas ang aking espada.

I smirk. "Pardon me." I felt strong energy coming towards my sword. "I felt sick when someone looked down at me when in fact, they are smaller than me."

I saw the sun from above. It's so close to us. The energy that's building in my sword went strong and heavy. There's a ball forming at the top of my sword. The ball increases its size per second. Patagal na patagal, umiinit ang paligid. Nakikita ko ang mga mababang antas ng aking kalaban ay unti unting nagiging abo. What's left right now are the higher-level demons.

"So, who's stronger now?" I laughed.

After I said that they ran from me. I threw my sword at them. Nung dumaan ang espada ko sa kanila, sila ay unti-unting nagiging abo. Narinig ko ang kanilang sigaw, bigo, kalungkutan, at pighati. Sumakit ang dibdib ko sa hindi malamang dahilan. Bakit parang naawa ako sa kanila? Naginit ang aking mga mata, naramdaman kong tumulo ang aking luha.

Unti-unting nawawala ang liwanag sa kalangitan. Dahan-dahan bumaba ang aking katawan sa lupa. Kahit nawala na ang liwanag sa itaas, naramdaman ko pa din ang init sa aking katawan, pati sa aking mga mata.

"J-Jasmine." I looked at the person who called my name.

Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero bumuhos ang luha sa aking mga mata. Naramdaman kong unti-unting nawala ang init sa aking katawan. I went to him, but before I take another step. I felt my body weakened.

I think, the time slows down, or is it just me? I expect that my body will land on the ground when I felt the warmth wrapping around my body. Someone caresses my face gently. I closed my eyes slowly and open them afterward. Even my vision is blurry, I can still see his face.

"C-Cadmus," I whispered.

I slowly closed my eyes when I completely lose my strength.
