Sarah's POV

- "I'll get that, why don't you go ahead and shower first?" - you said, coming out of the bathroom and giving her a peck on the lips, after watching her lick the length of the rolling paper.

- "Sure. Are you expecting anyone?" - she asked as you were leaving the room.

- "I don't think so..." - you shouted back from down the corridor after closing the master bedroom door behind you and approaching the entrance. 'Am I?' You thought to yourself sensing you forgot you had a commitment. As you open the door just enough to keep yourself at view, you realize what was it that you were forgetting.

- "Jessica!" - you bring one of your hands to your forehead while holding your robe closed with the other.

- "Sarah!" - She stares at you top to bottom. - "Did we just wake you up?" - She grins, referring to herself and Winnie that was jumping on her arms at that moment.

- "Actually, no. I just forgot you were dropping by in the morning instead."

- "Are you alright? Ryan called me asking to hear back from me if I got a hold on you. Apparently, you disappeared on him last night and haven't been picking up his calls." -

- "Well, kind of, I ran out of battery. I'll call him right away. Did Winnie behave?" - you try and change the subject with a smile and pick up your puppy.

- "That's unlike you... You are acting weird today. What's up? Aren't you going to ask me in?" - And as you were about to come up with a plausible excuse to reschedule the previously arranged breakfast, the sound of running water on the pipes and the ticking of the heater starting gave away another presence in the house.

- "The thing is, Jess, I wasn't really expecting you, I was about to take a bath..."

- "My company has never stopped you before from doing that... Who's in the house with you?" - She tries to peek. - "Wasn't Holland out for the next two weeks?"

You knew you couldn't lie to her, she was the one person that could read you like a book.

- "She is. Jess, I-. This is really not a good time..."

- "Sarah?? Don't you dare leaving me out of this. Who's in there?" - You knew there was no way out of this, even if you did shut the door in her face, she wouldn't leave you alone until she found out. It was one of the things you always loved the most about your friendship with Jessica, and she knew if it was the other way around, she couldn't blame you for doing the same so you confessed, sitting with her on the terrace couches while she finished her bath.

- "Do you remember what we talked about couple of years back." - you start whispering, fidgeting with your nails. - "Holland coming at me with the crazy idea of me seeing other people..."

- "Yeah, I was all for it." - She nodded, very quickly realizing what Sarah meant. - "Shut up, you didn't." - she gasped while her eyes shot wide open, smirking at you immediately.

- "well, I kind of did... Do...?" - you tried to keep it cool, so she wouldn't make a big deal out of it.

- "And he's in there?" - She pointed towards the house while her face kept lighting up.

- "She!" - you corrected sort of insulted for absolutely no reason, after all, you had been with dudes in the past. - "She. Is in there... yes... taking a bath, we just woke up..."

- "She? You had the chance to go for meat and you choose the same vegan dish again?" - Jessica snorts out, half annoyed.

- "Jessica...." - You try and contain your laugh. 'Jessica being Jessica'
