Sarah's POV

- "Easy darling please, I'm an old woman now..." - Diane nags you, as you're running your way out the front door. Your heart pounding out your chest, sweaty palms, stomach butterflies and a huge fear of not finding her at the dorms.

- "It's not a recent thing, you know?! You've been old for a while..." - You answer getting in the car and trying to lighten the mood, fully aware that Diane, who left out a chuckle at your friendly insult, could see you were about to require CPR.

- "Did Holland really agree to this? It's so unlike her... Does she really know how strongly you feel about this woman? I mean, girl. I mean, do I mean girl or woman?" - She asks driving off and trying to understand the status of your 6-year-old relationship.

- "She's a woman, Diane... A young woman, if it makes you feel more comfortable." - Diane nods. - "And no. Holland didn't "agree" to this..." - you mimic the quotes with both your index and middle fingers. - "She was the one who proposed it in the first place."

- "OHHH!" - she says with her lips forming a O for a few seconds. - "That's surprising..."

- "Well, Holland is not as much of a prude as everyone thinks she is, far from that..." - you defend her with a slightly insulted voice...

- "Alright..." - she raises both hands in surrender - "So, is she out of gunpowder, is that it?"

- "DIANE!" - you reprimand her, holding a laugh.

- "What?" - she plays naive.

- "If you weren't driving, I'd say how dare you and tickle you till you were out of breath?" - you keep scolding her, for being so nosy.

- "It's not like we've never talked about this..." - she says, and you know she's right, so you don't answer. - "Well? Am I wrong?" - she pushes, not letting you get away with it and you swallow your answer.

- "That doesn't even make any sense since she's a woman..." - you say bypassing the point she was making.

- "You definitely got my meaning... but alright. I'll rephrase it. Does she have a rusty gun-barrel?" - you're face shows just how scandalous that metaphor was for you.

- "Well, that's N.O.Y.B." - Diane looks at you with an unrecognising face. - "None Of Your Business." - you show her your tongue.

- "I already got my answer, dummy." - she looks tenderly at you, so you look out the window to avoid her gaze. - "You could have talked to me, I understand both sides here better than anyone, you know that."

- "And say what, Di? You were right from the beginning? On how Holland would lose interest in intimacy much earlier than I would? On how our age difference would affect us as a couple in ways I weren't expecting? That you were right about almost everything? Is that you want to hear?"

- "Usually yes, however not when it's making you unhappy dear... But I'm still your friend... Even if I'm your 'always right' friend... I'm still here for you... Always." - she takes your hand and squeezes it to comfort you and you lay a kiss on the back of it, letting her know you appreciate her.

- "Well, you weren't right about everything... These last years I've been with her, have been the most beautiful of my life... And sure, we've had our share of problems, but we'll deal with them accordingly... In our own way... Even if that means having to fight against the whole world's prejudice all over again!"

- "And I'll be here for you... So, are you ready?" - you look at her confused. - "We're here..."

As you arrive to the student's dorms campus there were multiple buildings, but unlike Diane who seemed to know exactly where she was supposed to go, you had no idea where to even start looking for (Y/n), so you followed her.
