Once Upon A Time, there was once a King and Queen who ruled their land with Kindness.
They're only Son, Prince Sam, was the only heir to the throne, their son was just as kind and gentle as the King and Queen were and Kingdom looked forward to seeing their son rule when he comes of age.
Only, the Queen held a dark secret, she had enjoyed being in power of the throne and deep down she wasn't ready to give it up to her son, but she kept their feeling deep down as it would result in banishment.

There was just one thing, the King had asked Sam if he had anyone in mind to he his bride, but Sam never thought of any princess he had met and only when they realised he didn't share feelings back to them, they would throw a fit showing they only want him for the throne.
So the King's Child suffered from trust issues, this resulted him not going out often and making him socially awkward. . .
Although, Sam did have one close friend besides his guard Dream, but he was great friends with the Butler's son, they had been friends since they were 4 and were really close with another, so Sam was never truly friendless.
Only one day, something horrible happened. . .

Sam's POV~

I walked through the garden with my guard, Dream, I wanted to pick some flowers for the maids as they said that some of the flowers were dying a little and I wanted to go outside a little bit, Dream then placed his hand on my chin and turned my attention to him,"Your Highness--", "I told you to call me Sam.", "Right, Sam. Sam, have you been sleeping alright, you have slight bags under your eyes.", I smile and we continued to walk,"Um, sorry it's just, I think it's anxiety or stress, about taking over the throne and new responsibilities.", Dream nods,"I see Sam, but I'm sure it won't be to bad, Sam. You'll be an amazing King.", I sigh as I played with some of the flowers. . .

As I walked around the castle, putting the flowers in the vases, I saw Ponk dusting some of the vases,"Ponk!", he turned and smiled,"Sam!", I walked up to him,"It's nice to see you, haven't seen you all day.", he smiled,"I apologise, I was helping the servants move the wine in the cellar.", I smiled,"That's real nice of you.", Ponk chuckled,"Thank you.", I smiled and took a rose out of the batches of flowers,"Here.", Ponk looked at the rose and then at me,"I- For me?", I nod,"Of course.", Ponk took the rose and smiled,"Thank you.", I smiled,"I'll see you around.", with one last smile I went off to replace more of the flowers. . .

I sat in my room, petting my cat as my door opened,"Son?", I look up and see my mother,"Mother, evening.", she entered my room, the train of her dress following her, she sat down on my bed,"I heard you haven't been sleeping well.", I nod,"Yes, I'm sure it's just stress.", she smiled and ran a hand through my hair,"Aw, it's alright honey, I got some medicine to help you sleep, dear.", she held a cup to me,"It's some medicine to help you rest more.", I took the glass out of her hands,"Thank you, mother. . .", with that I took a drink out of the glass or the medicine. . .
Suddenly the glass slipped out of my hands and I listened to it smash to the ground. . .
I felt my mother's hand on my back and on my chest, my eye lids felt heavy and my breathing was slow pacing,"Mom. . .","Sh. . . Rest my sweet Prince. . .", I wanted to scream but it felt like my body was shutting down and soon I fell into the darkness. . .

Dream's POV~

The King sat in the chair in despair. . . Sam lay in his bed, still and unwakeable. . .
Bad, the wizard, checked the strange liquid on the floor. . .

"It's a curse."

We all looked at him,"What. . .", "A curse. It puts anyone in an eternal sleep, it's only broken by True Love's Kiss.", I stepped forward,"I apologise, but why would the Prince have this in his possession?", Bad sighed as he moved to Sam's side,"I believe someone gave it to him.", The King hid his face in his face, sobs being muffled. . .

"Wait a minute."

I rushed out of the room and ran fown the hall to find the Queen. . .
As I threw open the door, I was in shock. . .

"FREEZE!!"

I aimed the sword at her, she dropped everything she was about to throw out the window. Footsteps came behind me and I heard gasps,"Those are the ingredients to make the potion!", The Queen gulped. . .

We had her tied to a chair, she had confessed to why she had done it; To keep the throne. The King collapsed in a chair, more tears and sobs were seen and heard. . .
This was definitely serious, Prince Sam has never had a lover or even a crush, he spent all his days inside the castle. . .--

Wait.

I turn to Ponk and his father, Ponk looked heartbroken as he had a rose in his hand, twirling it in his hands,"Wait, your Highness, may I speak to you in private?", he looked up with tears and nods. . .

Ponk's POV~

We waited for Dream and The King to come back.
Bad kept the Queen from escaping her bounds, my dad stood obviously worried and I looked at the rose in my hands, my gloves prevented myself to get a cut. . .

"Alright."

We all turn and see Dream walking in with The King, who looked hopeful?
What happened?
Dream then took my arm,"You, over here.", "W-Wait, hey Dream, what are you doing?!", he pulled me other Sam's side,"What do you think?", I frown. . .

Wait. . . WAIT.

I immediately felt my face heat up,"N-No, no, no!", Dream took my shoulders,"I see the way you look at each other.","N-No, he is a Prince I am a Butler--","Ponk.", I stop,"What?", I turn to my Dad and The King, who smiled sadly,"It's alright.", I look at everyone around me. . .
I slowly pulled down my mask down, I slowly approach Sam more closely. . . I felt myself blushing at how peaceful he looked. . .
I leaned over,"Please. . .", I lean in close to Sam and pressed my lips against his, his lips were soft, I felt myself blushing. . .
I part my lips away from his, moving my face away a little. . .

Suddenly Sam suddenly opened his eyes a little, I heard gasps around the room, I felt my face heat up more as he breathed a little heavy from the awaken,"Sam. . .?", "Ponk. . .", Dream smiled,"It's a miracle!!", I helped Sam sit up a little more,"What happened. . .?", The King smiled and gently moved some of his hair out of his face,"I shall explain later, right now I have to deal with something.", with that we watched Dream, The Butler and The King took the Queen out of the room. . .
I turn to Sam,"Are you OK. . .?", he looked at me with slightly tired eyes,"Mhm.", I smile and blush,"Forgive me, Your Highness for what I'm about to do.", he looked confused before I kissed him, he was surprised but he kissed me back. . .!
We parted the kiss, I smiled and caressed his cheek,"I love you, Sam. . .", he smiled and learned into my touch,"I love you too, Ponk. . .", I smiled as he rested his head on my shoulder. . .
