Bucky's POV

We all sat in the compound room, Fury standing there watching as we all sat in silence. "Who wants to speak up first." He sounded just as annoyed as we all were. It had been hours since what happened with Joshua.

"She was right there, and then she wasn't." I was the first to speak up almost startling the others. I was angry at everything but mainly myself. She was right beside us and we all turned our backs for two minutes. How could we know it was a trap?

Fury nodded biting his lip before he looked at us. "Well, I don't know what to tell you guys. We know nothing about this man and now the only thing we had against him is gone. Well done, you guys officially fucked this mission."

"Hold on just a second" I said furrowing my brows, "we must be able to find her. Some way or another something will come up. We cannot just not look. She would be out there searching high and low if it were anyone of us and you know that Fury you know that because she is a Romanoff and look what Natasha did for us, remember Thanos? You were gone and you are back because she was determined to save every-one so maybe you should put that same energy back into finding her goddamn sister." Truth was I knew Nat was hurting but so was I, I was selfish, and I wanted her to try and find her for my sake.

"Bucky, thanks for your input but we can't chase ghosts." Nat's words seemed defeated almost.

I stood up slamming my hand down on the table hearing it crack. "Novah is not a ghost, don't ever call her that again."

"Buck, you need to relax. Getting angry at everyone isn't going to fix this."

Shooting at a glare at Steve as those words left his mouth, I shook my head. "You don't get to play that card Rogers; this was your idea. If we had not used her as bait, she wouldn't be gone." It hurt me saying that to him because I knew in a way, he blamed himself but the anger in me just would not calm enough for me to relax to say anything to them.

"He's right." Tony said looking at his hands as he held his coffee. "I know blaming one another isn't going to help but we knew it was dangerous and yet we brought her. We should have seen this coming from a mile away." I was shocked in a way that Tony would agree with me as that would be the first time, I think ever we had agreed on something.

Nodding at him as in a way to thank him. Fury shook his head once more. "Everyone get some sleep; I need everyone refreshed. We meet back here in the morning to discuss what is next oh and Barnes I suggest this pent-up anger issue you have is gone by then." He said with a stern tone as we made eye contact

Rolling my eyes, I had just left my room making my way to my room where I closed my door behind me as I heard everyone walking down the halls to their own rooms.
Slumping down in my bed I put my hand under my pillow pulling out a photo Novah had taken of us on a polaroid camera she had in her room. I smiled softly at the photo as it showed us both smiling at one another like dorks as she held a cupcake between us after shoving my face in the icing. It was those memories I cherished forever, the ones I would be terrified to lose but every second with Novah I was scared to lose. Like I did not want any time without her.
But now she was gone.

Novah's POV

Opening my eyes I blinked a few times before shielding my eyes from the light. Placing my hand on my head I hissed as pain shot through me. I could feel some dry blood in my hair. Tilting my head, I could see I was in a white room, the white room that I knew so well. The cold marble floor sent chills down my spine as I realized where I was. I was with him.

"Well good morning sleepy-head." I froze for a second before turning to see him sitting there on his dark cherry colored sofa. His muscular body was clothes in a black shirt and dark jeans as he wore a black trench coat. "I've been waiting for you." His brown eyes met mine as his grin grew a bit.
Joshua was in his mid-thirties and if he were not a crazy psychopath, one would say you might find him attractive. He had short black hair that was on a lighter shade almost, his jaw was squared off as well but the face he had was stern. He sat back cocking his head to the side a bit with a smile "aren't you a beautiful sight, I've missed you."

Scoffing I sat up hissing with some pain "I didn't miss you."

"Now, that's not nice." I looked to see the same girl from earlier walking in with her heels clicking off the marble floor and now her makeup done up. She wore a black fitted skirt and a red button up shirt. "Sir, her room is ready." She smiled at Joshua.

"What the fuck?"

"She sure is lovely there, Darren."

Before I could blink, he was out of his seat with his hand around her throat glaring. "Don't you ever call me that again, do you hear me?" he snarled in her face before shoving her away.

The girl smiled as she saw my confusion. "Oh, she doesn't know?" she bent forward smiling. "His real name is Darren; you only know him by his middle name sweet-heart."

"Heather enough!" he snarled glaring at her. "Leave me and the girl, go make sure the men aren't messing around." She rolled her eyes before exiting leaving Josh and I alone.

He pulled me to my feet holding my arms tight as he looked me up and down. "My fragile doll, you'll never be without me again." Leaning in he placed a hard kiss on my cheek before smiling. "I told you from the start, I will always find you Novah, you are mine."

"I don't think so!" I kicked him earning him to drop me back to my knees, as he groaned, I tried sprinting to the door but before I could open it, I felt a fist in my hair yanking me back against his body. Gasping he smiled as his hand was around my throat now. "Behave Novah, you do remember what happens when you don't right?" his words grew cold.

Josh dragged me down a hall where he threw me into a room. "Welcome back to your room. We got you a new bed, one you should find more fitting for us when we become one, Novah you know it will happen." I cringed thinking about his future.
He always told me once I was in my full form then he would make me his wife as we would be the best duo, but I knew deep down we were not going to get there ever.

"Go to hell, I hate you." I snarled back at him knowing well enough it would make him annoyed.

"You won't for long. Good night, my love." Closing the door, I heard the lock click meaning I was stuck in this prison once again.

Feeling my breathing become heavy I let out a small sob knowing what would happen to me. I had to protect them though, I had to protect him. I hope Bucky would be okay and I prayed one day he would find happiness but at the same time a part of me hoped he would find me and come rescue me. "Back to the books, I guess." I cried to myself as I slid the wall beside the bed looking at the small window which showed the sunrise that was now happening.
Everything was so exhausting.
