chapter eight - unintended accident.

on the following weekend, the boys decided it would be best to go out together, as a group.

this was mostly because they wanted to become closer with san, so he could be an actual member of their little squad.

it took yunho some convincing to get mingi to come along.

mingi was refusing, too anxious to suddenly show up to the other members after being alone for a couple weeks.

after deep consideration (and a lot of bribing from yunho), he chose to give it a go.

first, they planned to go to a local café for brunch.

jongho appeared at the café first.

as he was waiting for the others, he leaned against the wall as he thought to himself.

today's gonna be a good day, he smiled. i can't wait!

he closed his eyes...

"hey jongho."

jongho quickly opened his eyes and looked towards the direction of the sudden voice.

he couldn't make eye contact.

"h-hey." he replied.

the boy who had greeted him started leaning against the wall too, next to jongho.

"you know, it's been a while since it's been just the two of us." the boy glanced at jongho.

jongho felt his face heat up. "y-yeah, it has."

"we should hang out more often."

"sure! i-if it's okay with you of course."

"of course it is. i brought it up." the boy sarcastically smirked at jongho's flustered face.

then he started to laugh.

"hey jongho, you might not know this but..." the boy faced him.

"out of all the boys, you're the one who makes me the happiest."

once all the boys came, they entered the café.

it was very empty and calm, with day6's "above the clouds" playing in the background.

"this place has good music taste." seonghwa stated.

"agreed." san slightly smiled.

"hello, welcome to "café eunji". how many at a table?" a staff member at the entrance asked.

"eight, please." hongjoong answered.

"okay. please make your way to table #19 and enjoy your time!"
