this takes place in the au where woo got into an accident and forgot about san.

aka chapter nineteen — this was how fate decided it would go.

another day... finally, a visit to see wooyoung.

san had been buzzing in his seat at the end of the school day. he just couldn't wait to see wooyoung after such a long time.

the school bell rang and san jumped from his seat. he ran out the classroom and to the front gate.

there, he would meet seonghwa, who was driving him to wooyoung's house.

after a few minutes of waiting, san saw seonghwa and hongjoong across the school yard.

he ran up to them in excitement.

"seonghwa-hyung!! is it time to go?" san beamed.

"mhm! hongjoong is gonna come with us too!" seonghwa smiled.

"oh okay, hi hongjoong-hyung!"

"hello sannie!"

the three boys made their way to seonghwa's car. they got in, buckled up, then seonghwa started the car.

"alright, let's go~" seonghwa grinned, as he drove away to wooyoung's house.

as soon as they arrived at wooyoung's house, san quickly got out of the car.

"sannie! don't run off without us!" seonghwa shouted to the boy, who was about to rush to the front door.

"hurry up then!" san yelled back, not willing to be patient today.

"san!" seonghwa called to him, who couldn't care less about what seonghwa wanted to say. "i swear to jisoo, this boy is getting a scolding when we get home."

"you have to understand hwa. he hasn't seen the love of his life for a while, plus wooyoung doesn't even remember him. of course he'll be feeling exhilarated." hongjoong tried to calm his boyfriend.

"i guess... well, i'd do the same if it was you." seonghwa giggled.

hongjoong's face went a bright red. "of course you would. now let's go!"

"yeah, don't wanna keep the child waiting." seonghwa agreed, taking hongjoong's hand, unlocking the front door and going inside.

the group went up to wooyoung's room.

seonghwa put his hand on the handle, but didn't open the door. instead, he looked at san with reassurance.

san gave him a anxious look back. earlier, he had been so excited to see wooyoung. but now that the time had come, he suddenly felt a rush of nervousness.

"you ready?" seonghwa softly asked the younger, noticing his change in mood.

"mhm." san nodded, his stress relieving a slight bit as he took a deep breath.

slowly, seonghwa opened the door, revealing a clean room. the room was fairly bright, with the blinds slightly open.

and there, sitting by the window on a chair, was the boy san had been longing to see for the whole day.
