chapter thirteen - not a secret anymore.

"mama!" i exclaimed as i came running out from the bathroom. "this... feels so... right!"

my mother was kind enough to lend me some 'boyish' clothes, and she cut my hair.

and now... i felt more like myself.

"sweetie, you look so good!" my mother cooed. "if you're happy like this, then i'm happy like this."

"thank you so much mama." i gave her a big hug as small tears fell down my cheeks.

"why are you crying bub?" she wiped my tears and gave me a loving smile.

"i'm just so happy...!" i grinned.

"i'm happy too!" she grinned back.

"i love you mama!"

"i love you too."

"but mama, what are others gonna think?" i asked nervously, as mama and i were in the car, going to buy some new clothes.

"bub, it doesn't matter what others think." my mother assured.

but then she had an idea.

"however, if you really want... we can move?"

"really?" i smiled as she replied. "of course! anything for you sweetie!"

"thanks mama!" i beamed.

it went silent in the car before i had another question.

"mama? what's my new name gonna be?"

"hmm, let's see. joong... uh... hong..? hongjoong?"

"i love it!" i exclaimed.

so it was official.

i was now a male, my name being hongjoong.

and i was finally happy...

my mother greeted me as i made my way to the kitchen.

"morning bub." she yawned.

"mama, did you get enough sleep last night?" i asked.

"i'm trying... but hey, good news for you!"

"what is it?"

"...i think it's time for you to get a hormone surgery." my mother declared.

"h-hormone... what now?" i questioned.

"a hormone surgery! so you can finally go from being female to male!" she grinned.
