I spent a couple seconds too long debating on what to do and before I knew it the man we were running away from was right in front of me. There was nowhere to run now. Evan was still trying to find his glasses but he was just getting farther away from them. I was able to get a closer look at the man finally and I recognized his face. It was one of the people I least expected to be trying to kill me. His name is the Undertaker. I know this sounds absurd but it was definitely him.
"Undertaker just leave us alone o.k," I said trying to say my life.
"No! I don't tolerate little brats like you two that get into other people's business, " he growled. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement on one of the rooftops. Undertaker must have saw it too because he quit paying attention to be and began searching for any other living thing in the area. Then little rocks began raining into the alley, landing everywhere but most were bouncing off the Undertaker. A voice came from the highest roof.
"Undertaker! Come get me. I bet you cant catch me." It was Jimmy the homeless guy trying to save us. But when I heard him running away I thought I was back into the same danger. Until Undertaker said," I have to get that little @$#%." After he was finished cursing he also said, "You two are free to go but if you say a word to anyone about this, then you will feel my wrath." And then he left. I picked up Evan's glasses and handed them to him and then we sprinted to my house without saying a word. When we got to the front door of my house Evan had to go home. My house was an apartment, no actually my whole street was all apartments. I entered my house but it was empty. Both my parents were on vacation and my sister was spending the night at her friend's house so it was just me and my cat. I didn't even bother to eat supper. I just locked the door and went to bed.
THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL
It was fourth period science class and I was irritated because Evan was the only person I could talk to about what happened yesterday but he was absent. I sat down beside my friend Logan and Joel sat on the other side of me. Logan was only 13 and was already 6 foot 4 so I didn't have to worry about anybody messing with me when he was around.
" How come you and Evan didn't text me last night?" Joel asked.
"All I can tell you is that I had a really bad day yesterday, "I answered. Joel wanted to say something else but he was cut off by Mrs. Schloneger.
"Since some of you haven't been getting your work done, I have arranged a new seating chart," she explained. The whole class groaned.
"Well that's just freaking delightful" Joel said sarcastically under his breath,"Now I'm probably gonna have to sit by some stupid jock." The desks were in rows and I hoped I didn't have to sit in the front so that I could talk when the teacher wasn't paying attention. Luckily the first row ended up just being people with glasses that couldn't see very far. Since I could not sit by Logan because he was in the front row, maybe I might be able to sit by Joel. No luck for me. I had to sit in the second to last row. Aaron Hallman was to my left, Colton Kerns to the right, and Chloe Evans in front of me. Only five people had to in the last row but I didn't want any if them to sit behind me. And it had to be the one person that I wanted to sit behind me the least. It wasn't the creepy chick that liked me, the annoying wimp, or even the stupid jock that everybody hates. It just had to be her.................
