LIGHT ANGST
IMAGINE

_______

You slowly walk inside your shared home, slowly kicking off your shoes. You try to keep strong as your classmates' words kept repeating itself. The disgusting nicknames and even targeting you and your girlfriend's relationship.

This was kept up for a couple weeks, sucking up and trying to move on from the bad day but you couldn't and it would always lead to arguments with Jennie. Only today was different, their words were more harsh and fierce, the complete opposite of yours when you want to stand up for yourself. Jennie seemed to notice your gulps of sallowing the thick lump of tears, but wanted to wait patiently for you to open up.

You hear Jennie's scrambling footsteps coming your way. You quickly try to make it to your room but was confronted by none other than Jennie.

"Where was my hug?" Jennie pouts.

You hung your head low, not wanting to look her in the eyes, slowly falling into the sickening words. You let out a shaky breath, you held to hold your tears, that was barley audible for Jennie to hear.

"Hey," She cooed and gently cupped your face to look at her, but you only averted your eyes elsewhere. "What's wrong baby?"

Your eyes stung with tears as your breathing quickened trying to stop the tears from creation. Jennie knew you as a strong girl and you needed to show that. Especially during her comebacks, she needed you to be tough and understanding. So, you decide to sallow up and hold your breath to stop them.

"No, don't you do that." Jennie brings you into her warmth as your cheek landed on her shoulder. Smelling her aroma and feeling her close felt like pure heaven -therapy.

It was what you needed all these past weeks and you finally got it. You finally got the special warmth you needed in weeks and you felt relieved that special person didn't get tired.

The relief washed over you densely. All these weeks, you've been held up in your room -thinking over the words your classmates called you out on. You even wondered how she didn't get a sense of boredom from you during those sulking days and with the heavy name callings, you weren't doing so fine.

You let a small tear slip, hoping that'll be it for the day but.

"It's okay." She cooed trying to prevent herself from crying too. Her hand rubbed your back soothingly as her lips slowly and lovingly planted pecks on your temple.

You slowly start to break down while small comforting reassurances were whispered into your ear. They were getting to you and you let them. You realized you were too weak to stand them.

All your barriers were torn down and you slowly fell apart in Jennie's arms. Their words and doubts slowly crawled under you skin and you couldn't help but get scared at the internal agonizing pain before running away.

All you did was watch and take in all their name callings, bunching up your anger into tears of sadness and frustrations. They ordered you like a dog with a leash and you hated that label.

Their doubts of your relationship, hurt you the most though. They'd laugh and point fingers at you, chanting sickening phrases of you and your girlfriend's love for each other. They'd even target your sexuality if a tear didn't slip from your eyes.

"Jennie," Your voice shook as your breath was shaky from holding tears.

"Yes baby?" Jennie rubs your back lightly and places a kiss on your temple.

"You love me, right?" It was stupid question to ask but you needed to know at the moment. You wanted your classmates to be wrong.

"Of course I do. Because when I'm with you, I'm at my happiest. When I'm on my downs, you heal me with the most adorable smile only I can find cute."

Your lips tug into a faint smile, "Can we stay home tomorrow?"

She pulls out from the hug to see you and wipes away the small streaks of tears. "I'd love to. And I love you."

You smile widely as she mirrors you.

"I love your smile. I love your addicting laugh. I love you for being you and if other people don't see that, then screw them." Jennie goes in for a passionate kiss, lips moving in sync, healing you with warmth and reassurance. She pulls away with her gummiest smile plastered.

"You can always talk to me. I can listen to you all day whether good or bad. I will cuddle you, kiss you, love you, spend my days with you until the day our souls descend." She plants a peck to your smiling lips.

"Thank you."

Jennie gives a small laugh, "I love you. You love me. What more would you be thankful of?"

"Being with the most understandable girlfriend, the world doesn't deserve." You answer off the top of your head, resulting in both your small laughs filling the small hallway.

"Do you want to have a lazy day today?" Jennie strokes your hair, giving you a look of adoration.

You nod, giving her a smile as she pulls you into your shared bedroom before handing you one of her hoodies, which you quickly put on. Jennie lays you down on the bed and stuffs blankets and pillows onto you. You giggled while she tried to find a way into your arms without having to move a pillow.

She somehow manages to maneuver around the pillows and hugs you from the side while you laid on your back. You felt like you were on clouds. Her soft hoodie cuddled you up along with the owner drawing small circles on your stomach.

"When you're ready to talk, I'm all ears." She speaks.

You exhale a shaky breath while the words came back more harsh than when they said them. "It's just people."

"What kind of people?" Her tone gave a small growl of rage but she hung onto her sweet voice.

"People that... you know.. hate." You mumble the last part but she was just able to hear it. "They said mean things to me and I started to believe them."

"But you don't now." Jennie caresses your cheek, "You know for sure that my love for you is real, so next time when you see them you can ignore them and come home to my kisses and cuddles. I love you and that's all what matters."

You didn't respond, afraid that you'll break again. Jennie snuggles into you making you more comfortable and warm. She starts to breathe calmly as she tried to sleep.

"Y/n," She starts and receives a hum.

"Just know that I'm always here for you. I'll be waiting for you." Jennie pauses for her words to register.

"People have bad days and that's okay. But lying and sucking them up is not. It builds anger and I know we both don't want that." She starts to caress your cheek as a small lump formed in your throat.

"If you need to cry, then cry. But don't cry alone. I'm not saying you can't cry alone, but I'm saying crying with someone is way better and refreshing."

You let a small tear slip, feeling the guilt creep in. She wipes it away with one slick of her thumb.

"Like now, you feel a bit better now that you let it all out. I want you to trust me and come to me with your problems. And I'll do the same. Just know, I'll always love you no matter what." Jennie plants a kiss on your neck and pulls away after savoring the moment.

You never thought you'd find such a girl. A girl who knows what's happening around her at all times. A girl who knows things you didn't. A perfect girl who can love you to the moon and back.

"I love you too."
