A/n: Do yall know how I said I don't make smut? Well, I got a little bit carried away in this one and it doesn't lead to smut smut but it's just a Slightly M rating.

I honestly don't know what I was doing. Keep in mind that this book is just a hobby of my imaginations.

You and Jennie were both studying in America. You both were known as the aces and key learners from the university you guys go to. So, both of you decided to become friends. Only for your feelings for her to grow and become feelings a friend couldn't have. You don't know if she felt the same. You've never fallen for a woman and it took you ages to finally sort things out, especially if you only kept this to yourself.

She was a proud Bi but she treated you more like a sister than someone she likes. You needed to tell her how you felt. Your stubborn mind couldn't accept the fact that Jennie had no feelings for you. Therefore, you decided to confess on the fourth of July.

"Jennie?" You called out from your seat in the cafe.

She raised her head to meet your eyes and you couldn't help but break it off.

"Are you busy today?"

Jennie shakes her head with a smile. "No, why?"

"I was just wondering if you'd watch the fireworks with me." You quickly go back to your work, expecting a turn down.

Jennie giggles at your action, letting her worries slip. "I mean.. I don't really have anything to do today. So I guess I can make it."

A smile overtook your face. "Really?"

Jennie nods and kicks your leg from underneath the table for you to look up at her. "Why? Are you going back on your word?"

"What? N-No. I was just asking." You stammered, feeling her eyes gazing at you.

"You better keep your word, or else you'll feel my wrath." She laughs playfully evil while you daydreamed about the future.

"Can I pick you up at your dorm?" The words slip out your mouth.

Jennie stops her act with a smile. "If you want to. I'm not pressuring you."

"Great. I'll see you around six maybe." You go back to your homework, feeling all giddy and fuzzy that your plan will definitely work.

The night came faster than you thought. You were all dressed in your comfy clothes, silky shorts and T-Shirt, and was on the way to her dorm while the fireworks boomed. You knock on her door a few times before it swings open, revealing Jennie in her oversized hoodie and sweats.

A small whimper fell from your lips. She looked so small and cuddle-sized.

"Let's go."

She swings an arm around your neck and drags you out to the field where many of the students were seen dancing and setting fireworks. Jennie points at a food stand and drags you over there.

"You don't want to watch the fireworks?" You point up but she shakes her head.

"Can we watch it when they start?" You whine and slightly tug on her sleeve making her chuckle.

She couldn't help but gaze at you with little bright stars while you continued to whine. Jennie felt her heart tug at the sight and she finally nodded without a second thought.

"Really!?" You exclaim.

The thought of seeing the dark sky fill with color crossed your mind. You loved fireworks. They were so colorful and bright, especially at night. And the thought of confessing tonight made you more excited.
