Lilith's POV
I eyed the droid in front of me with satisfaction, before putting the finishing touches to it's wiring. This droid was Cal's second birthday gift. I would have given it to him before he left, which was about an hour ago, but I wasn't quite finished with it just yet. I wanted it to be perfect for him.

I can always feel his loneliness when I'm not around, being alone isn't something that he's used to. So, I built a droid for him just as I did for- someone who isn't worth mentioning, but now, with BD-1, Cal will never be alone.

He shouldn't have to suffer in the silence and loneliness as I do.

I closed up the explorer droid and pushed it to the end of the table. It was finally done. But I planned to wait for Cal before turning it on for the first time. I wanted him to be the one to do it; I wanted to see his excitement.

I sighed as I opened the drawer below me and threw in my tools; then my eyes caught something that I had originally placed in here almost a year ago. I couldn't bring myself to throw it away or even destroy it. So I kept in here; hidden under multiple objects, which have now moved around to give me a clear view of it.

I reached my hand in the drawer, and pulled out the familiar necklace.

"Okay, open it." He smiled happily as he placed the tiny box in my hand.

I chuckled at his excitement, it was adorable. I opened the box to reveal a Japor snippet, "Oh Ani I love it!" I exclaimed as I held it up and eyed it with adoration.

"I made it myself." He smirked as he gestured for me to hand it to him, so he can help me put it on.

I chuckled as I handed it to him and turned around, "I love it even more then, I think it's beautiful." I slightly blushed when I felt his hands on the back of my neck as he laid the necklace down.

"A Princess deserves beautiful things."

Memory changes

He kept his eyes on me the whole time as I placed the necklace around his neck, and gently set it on his chest. He smiled as he looked down to it, my heart rate increased as I gazed onto his beautiful smile. I can't believe I almost gave him up, I was so stupid.

He glanced back up to meet me eyes, "I love it, I should have been wearing this years ago." He brought his hands up to cup my face gently.

"Anakin I'm in love you, I always have been." I whispered; causing his breath to get caught in his throat.

He stared at me in awe for a moment before he finally spoke. "Jerk, I wanted to say it first," He gave off a single chuckle as he used his thumbs to gently rub my cheek bones, "I'm in love with you too Princess." He said it back as he pulled my face to his, and our lips met once again.

I blinked the memories away, and felt a familiar coldness on my cheek. I brought my hand up to inspect it, feeling one single drop that had fallen from my eye.

I pulled my hand away and eyed the tear that was now smeared on my middle finger. I hummed in surprise as I rubbed my thumb against it; it may have just been only a single tear, but this was my first time crying in so long. I had even begun to believe that I was no longer capable of it. But here I am, crying and feeling the spider crack on my heart expand painfully.
