༻✦༺Rex's POV
"It's been too long," I paced the floor with Artoo rolling by my side; clearly just as worried as I was, although we seem to be the only ones. Except Cody, but he went to nap it off, "They've been gone for hours, and we haven't heard anything; we have to go after them." I paused and looked to Hunter who already held a look of disapproval. He shook his head, just as I expected him to, "Rex, they told us not to. We'll be killed the second we get onto that station, if not by the other clones, then by her."
I groaned in annoyance, mostly because I knew he was right. At least they hold significant value to both Lilith, and Sin. But us clones don't, she wouldn't hesitate when it came to us, and I wouldn't to have to kill any brothers in self defense.
I sighed and sat down on one of the chairs with Artoo sticking by my side, just as he has been since they left.
Then it hit me.. there is a way for me to find out if they're alive without being detected. Mostly because it won't actually be me on the ship, but someone else; someone with great stealth, or at least I hope his stealth has improved this past year, he used to be terrible.
"Hey buddy," I addressed General Skywalker's droid with a smile, "How would you like to go on a mission?"
Anakin's POV
I stared down at Obi-Wan's condition, terrified that he wasn't going to make it.Seeing him so fragile and weak broke my heart, especially since I've always seen him as someone strong, my hero even. He's saved me more times than I could count. And it was this attempt to save me that may very well have cost him his own life.
The nurses and doctor left a few minutes ago and said they'd come back to check on him in about an hour or so. As of right now, they're unsure if he'll pull through or not. But they did say that no major organs were hit when Sin stabbed him; it's the internal bleeding that's really the issue.
"He'll be fine."
I snapped my head up to the heavy robotic voice; Lilith was standing in the doorway with her gaze on Obi-Wan, and she was wearing her new mask. This one wasn't fully black like her other one, certain parts of it were a midnight violet; reminding me of her old lightsaber, "I thought you were leaving."
She walked deeper into the room, and closed the door behind her; her amber gaze shifting to mine, "I am, I just thought I'd come in and check on him."
I looked away from her and to my former master, "Do you even care?" I asked with a vexing attitude; looking down to my hands as I picked at my cuticles that were still stained with blood. It was probably a mix between my own and Obi-Wan's since I held him as I begged her to save him. I didn't actually expect her to listen either, her actions took my by surprise.
"I saved his life, did I not?" She was suddenly next to me, and she placed her hand under my chin to bring my gaze up to hers. Her touch was cold; making me miss when it was warm, "He could be rotting right now, but I chose this option instead. So don't give me your attitude Skywalker, because I can easily pull the plug."
I swallowed nervously due to her intense stare, "Why are you even helping him?"
She slowly removed her hand from my chin, and backed away, "I have my reasons," She sighed through her mask, and glanced down to the floor, "Now, I'll be gone for a few hours at most. I have the four currently outside this room to make sure you don't try anything stupid. I'll deal with you all when I return." She spun to leave, but I quickly stopped her with my voice, and stood up from the chair that had my leg chained to it.
