Anakin's POV
I was here.

The one planet Sidious is known for inhabiting the one place I usually avoided at all cost. But today was different, I wasn't feeling afraid or nervous - all I could feel was rage.

Prior to arriving here, I was being swallowed by pure devastation and heartbreak - then once I could feel Sidious' presence, I was overcome with a deep hatred. It was as if another part of me took over.

The only moment I felt a speck of anything that wasn't associated with anger was when I looked down at the lifeless body that was still in my arms. When I looked at her, the woman who deserved so much better than what she was given - the sorrow returned and the painful knot in my chest tightened.

I gently set (y/n) down on the cold metal floor of the ship, "I'm sorry, I know you don't like the cold." I pressed my warm hand to her cheek and softly caressed her icy skin, "I want you to know that I love you, and I hope you can forgive me for failing you when you needed me most." I whispered, bringing my lips to her forehead as I blinked a single tear away, it landed on her pale skin and slid down her cheek.

Flashback (Ages- You;12 Anakin;14)

"I didn't know you could draw," My sudden presence caused (y/n) to jump in surprise and quickly cover her drawing with both of her hands.

"I can't," She spoke quickly, glancing up at me with a nervous expression.

I knitted my brows as I sat across from her at the table, "I already saw it," I rolled my eyes at her attempt to hide it from me, "It was really good, let me see." I placed my hand on the corner of the paper and attempted to slide it over to myself, but her grip on it was stopping me, "Please?" I asked softly with a head tilt.

She eyed me with uncertainty for a moment, before sighing, "Alright, but you better not make fun of me or I won't talk to you for a whole week." She threatened with narrowed eyes.

I chuckled, finding her threat amusing. She uses that same one all the time, knowing damn well that she herself can hardly go a week without me. We're each other's only friend, a day without each other is a lonely one for us both.

"I promise Princess, now hand it over." I tugged on the corner softly so I wouldn't damage it in case she fought against me.

But thankfully, she instantly released her grip on it and I was able to pull the paper towards me. I scanned her drawings, confused on what it was. I mean it was good, don't get me wrong, but I wasn't sure what I was looking at it. Although I did recognize a figure resembling Yoda and one that I believe might be me. Or just another handsome blonde.

"It's supposed to be my heaven," She informed me before I could ask. I glanced up, meeting her gaze and silently asking for clarification. We've always been able to read each other's expressions and even emotions, so words were unneeded sometimes, "Master Yoda told me that beyond the force, when it's time for our souls to finally rest, there's a place called heaven," She explained as she pulled the paper out of my hand gently and placed it back down in front of her, "He said that each individuals heaven is different, that it abides to what their souls desire. So he asked me to draw what I think my heaven would look like."

I knitted my brows in confusion, Obi-Wan nor any other Master has asked their Padawans to do something like that. It sounded like a strange task to me, but also interesting, "Why would he ask you to do that?"
