Anakin's POV
The wind flowed through my hair as I fell through the air; waiting for my imminent end with a heart so broken and filled with betrayal, death was welcomed.

I just didn't understand what went wrong, or why she looked and talked to me like I was nothing but a stranger to her. And to actually do what she just did; stab me and shove me off a building, all while laughing..

Well, I was having a hard time believing she was the same girl I gave my heart to.

And even before when she was consumed by the dark side, at least I could see a glimmer of herself in her eyes - though it was small. But the woman I just encountered; I didn't recognize her at all, there was no trace of the (Y/n) I once knew.

Flashback
"If you walk me into the pool Anakin, I swear to the gods I'll-"

I pinched (y/n)'s side gently; causing her to giggle and ending her threat, she's always been ticklish, "Relax, I'm not walking you into the pool," I brought my lips close to her ear as I held onto her waist; guiding her down the hall, "Although you would definitely deserve it." I whispered teasingly before kissing her cheek. She chuckled; knowing I was right.

It was late in the night so there weren't anyone in the halls to question our closeness; except for a few knowing clones who gave me winks as we walked by. I may have told quite a few members of the 501st about our relationship. I couldn't help it, they're like family to me and I trust them, especially Rex.

"Are we almost there?" She yawned quietly.

She just got back from an assignment so I'm sure she's exhausted, but today is a special day that has to be celebrated. Even though I'm positive she doesn't remember what today is, which is fine - but it's a day that I personally never forget.

"We're here now, but don't take the blindfold off yet," I instructed while stopping her in-front of my, bedroom door. I waved my hand for it to open, and slowly guided her inside.

She sniffed the air faintly once I closed the door behind us, "We're in your room," She deducted.

I furrowed my brows; she wasn't wrong, but I was curious as to how she automatically knew, "And what makes you think that?"

"I can smell your cheap cologne, and that vanilla candle you insist on lighting all the time."

I chuckled with a head shake, "You bought me this cologne for my birthday you know."

"That's how I know it's cheap." She teased.

I couldn't help but hug her from behind, and kiss the side of her neck, "You're such an asshole, but I love you." I squeezed her one last time before letting go after she mumbled an 'I love you too', "Okay you can take it off now." I moved away so I was now a small distance in-front if her.

She eagerly removed the blindfold, and her eyes instantly landed on the bed that was covered in rose petals with a small box in the middle; open and containing a diamond necklace in the shape of her first initial.

She looked both confused, and delighted at the same time, "This is beautiful Ani, but what-" She glanced up to meet my excited eyes, hers holding guilt, "Did I forget something?"
