"I'm going." Huminga nang malalim si Vale at kinuha ang susi niya sa mesa. "Bibili ako."
Tumango si Lia. Vale immediately left, and I just sat there.. completely speechless with everything that's going on.
Tahimik rin si Mage at Lia hanggang makabalik si Vale. Nagulat na lang ako sa plastic bag na dala niya. Halos sampu na pregnancy tests ang nandoon, at bumili rin siya ng saging.
"Bakit may saging?" Kunot noong tanong ni Lia.
"The.. um... the baby might get hungry."
"Hindi pa nga sure eh!" Tumawa si Lia. "Grabe ka Vale."
Walang imik ang pag-kuha ko doon sa plastic bag. I tried to take three more tests, and patiently waited in the bathroom. Hindi na ako lumabas para antayin pa.
Two lines.
Positive.
Pregnant.
Iba iba yung brand na binili ni Vale, but they all showed the same result.
Binuksan ko ang pintuan ng CR, st sabay sabay silang lumingon sa akin. Nagbuntong hininga ako at nagpunas ng luha.
"I'm pregnant."
"Ena.." Lumapit sa akin si Mage at niyakap ako.
The other two followed, and the three of them just held me as I cried.
Iniisip ko yung Papa ko. Kung paano siya madidismaya na ginawa ko yung pagkakamali na inaasahan nilang hindi ko gagawin. And all of his hard work.. all for my education. All so that I would end up like my mom.

How could I be so stupid? Nasa medical field ako. Nangyari na 'to sa nanay ko. Alam ko lahat ng kailangang malaman.
Iniisip ko rin si Ezra. Third year na kami. He still has his whole life ahead of him. I can't pull him into a life like.. this.
"H'wag niyo muna sabihin kay Raffy.. please." I sobbed. "I don't know how to tell her."
Tumango naman si Lia. Narinig ko ang pag-buntong hininga ni Vale, pero tumango na rin siya.
"Do you want to call Ezra?" Tanong ni Lia. "I mean.. he is the dad, right? Or iba?!"
Tumawa ako at pinunasan ang luha ko. "Shunga! Siya lang naman boyfriend ko!"
Huminga ako nang malalim at kiniha ang cellphone ko. I opened my messenger, and Ezra's name was the first thing that I saw.
And it immediately hurt my heart.
Mahal ko 'to, eh. Ayokong sirain ang buhay niya. Mahal ko siya.
