Chapter 2: In Another World

Also sorry if this is badly written, I haven't wrote something in a long time, I will though accept criticsm even if its bad.

I woke up startled like I had a nightmare.... Wait a minute. It took me half a second to realize that I didn't bump my head and then I quickly scanned the area. I was in my room but it was different. First of all my room didn't have a bunk bed, Second, the room was colored some pale green instead of sunset orange and third of all......

 "Declan, Lily, What are you doing in my room!?" I was shocked but they didn't answer immediately since well Declan had earphones in listening to music while on the computer desktop that was near my bed and Lily was just doodling stuff with music blasting in her ears as well on a separate desk near the computer. It took  about 2 seconds for Declan to realize I awoke and he then signalled Lily to take her earphones out. "Hey look who decided to wake up, you feeling all right handsome?

Handsome?

"The hell? Why did you call me handsome and you still haven't answered why you are in my room and why it looks so different!" I now was completely confused it's like life just did a 360 turn and changed everything. "Wow I didn't know he hit his head that hard, eh Declan?" Lily said while chuckling. "Yeah that is sure some amnesia, come on Robin stop fucking with us we know you're now perfectly fine" Declan said this with a sarcastic look on his face.

The heck, amnesia? Did I really have amnesia?

The last thing I remember is being apprehended by that mysterious figure and then falling to the ground due to the heroin-like substance but I remember clearly that my room was orange and it had a bunk bed. Did something big happened while I was out cold? "No seriously guys I have no idea what happened. I know who you guys are but I don't know anything else especially why everything is so different or what supposedly happened to me so please be nice people and tell me what's going on" For being in such a different place I was surprised that I took it so well. Right now somebody would be freaking out much more than I did maybe running away or something. I guess I read so many stories on weird occurrences  that it happening to me in real life just doesn't surprise me THAT much. "Well ok if you say so, this must be the strangest case of amnesia ever since you remember who I am but not anything else." Lily said this while positioning herself to sit on the bed right next to me, at this point I was sitting on the edge of the bed and she was to the right of me. Lily... Lily.. I definitely knew who Lily was.

 Lily Roberts, a girl who I met back in grade 9, same as Declan and I truly got closer to her in grade 10 especially concerning the guys I liked. She was my height and she had dirty blonde hair that went to her shoulders and her eyes were hazel-ish brown-ish I have no idea-ish what exactly they are-ish and she usually wore this turquoise and blue striped sweater. In truth I must say, she is a cute girl. We became ever closer when I told her that I liked Declan but later I revealed that Declan liked her and this whole mess started. Now I was confused for about a minute since I woke up because acknowledging circumstances Declan shouldn't be in my room and my room shouldn't be that drastically changed but I'm pretty sure I know what happened or at least where I am. I am in a parallel world. No doubt about it, that or I'm having another dream in which how many times do I have to wake up? I have been researching and reading lots of novels about parallel universes and the fourth dimension so to be honest this excited me  a bit and made the most logical sense to me. That or I 'm way over my head and there might be some weird explanation as to why everything is different but I'm going to settle with parallel world. As Lily was about to start her story Declan sat beside me to my left and grabbed my hand and held it. I jumped back a little bit but I kept holding his hand cause it was....nice. "The heck Declan? Why are you... holding my hand?"  No... it couldn't be. Declan and I are... "You know Robin that hurts. The fact that you know who I am but not what I am to you really hurts. That amnesia of yours truly is a problem. Don't you know I'm your boyfriend?" So this is what the figure meant by "a place where everything is perfect". Well I was surprised but I was very happy. I then sort of leaped and gave Declan a big hug. He laughed and then gave one big hug to me back and we embraced for about 3 seconds when- "ahem" Lily cleared her throat to get our attention. "Hey Robin, Lily was about to tell you what happened so you better listen to her. I'm glad you responded positively to me being your boyfriend but we can cuddle and stuff later on our own time" I grinned like an idiot and then closed my eyes to hear Lily's story. "Well Robin you were hanging with us at school then you ran back to your Math class cause you said you lost your phone or something there and then you slipped on a wet paper towel and hit your head really hard with the floor" I chuckled and started laughing and turned my head towards Lily. "Is that really how I went unconscious wow? I'm a goof. "Yeah you sure are" Lily replied while chuckling a bit.  "Then we took you home cause well the people at school were being mean and didn't want to treat you or something, I don't know. "Huh. They must be very mean then" I started laughing again but then I stopped and I looked down where I was sitting. My hands were intertwined with each other but I noticed something.

 White.

My arms and hands were white. White isn't my natural color, its tan. I was also skinny but I was originally pudgy. I should've talked about myself earlier but I guess I should do it now. My name is Robin Martinez. I'm a normal-ish gay teen who falls in love easily. I'm 5'3 and I'm of Spanish descent meaning I have tanned skin also I eat a lot so I was a little on the fat side . I also have short black hair but what I saw, was white arms, not tanned skin and also I was skinny, not fat but I was pretty sure my height was the same. 'What. The. Hell!" I yelled out, Both Lily and Declan looked at me. I kept looking around my body,

White.

My whole body was the skin tone of a white man, It felt like I was in a completely different body. I then ran out of the room and into the small hallway. Across the hallway was a bathroom and I opened it and went to the sink. Normally a mirror occupies a sink but I saw no mirror in sight, instead all I saw was the bathroom's blue painted wall. "Hey where the hell is the giant mirror that was here? Both Lily and Declan came out of the room and head to where I was. "A...Mirror? Robin what's a mirror?" Lily asked me this. I couldn't believe it. Mirrors don't exist in this world? "What do you mean "What's a mirror" its those things that let you see yourself perfectly" They both looked at me. "Uhmm Robin if we found something like that then the whole world would be looking at themselves and it would be revolutionary." Declan said this while  he put an arm around me to comfort me. "This amnesia of yours not only has you forgetting obvious things  but has you remembering things that don't exist? we really should take you to a doctor."  Lily said with a deep concerned look on her face. "So you're telling me there is no way to see yourself?" I asked this while trying to get a grip on myself. Usually when someone goes to a parallel world they inhabit themselves and not somebody else's body so I didn't know what to think, was I in somebody else's body? "Yes, an artist draws portraits of us people, that and also we do each other's hair and makeup and stuff and we trust we look good" Declan said this with a smile. "Huh so self portraits, what is this the middle ages?!" I was obviously angry, I needed to see who I was but Declan's arm around my back kept me from going completely insane "Hey Robin why do you want to see yourself so badly anyway?" Lily asked "Because... My skin is white and that is not my true color" They both looked at me and then at each other and then they both started to laugh. "Huh what are you laughing about?" I said confused.  Declan stopped chuckling and said "Oh do we have to tell you your whole life story?. Well if you must know you were originally tanned but when you were a baby, apparently you had this weird skin pigmentation just like Michael Jackson and so when you were 5 you were basically white. In short you've been white your whole life! I would think you can remember that if you can remember everything else but then again your amnesia makes you remember weird stuff too so I'm not surprised anymore. "

Amnesia.

Amnesia.

Amnesia.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing that I have  amnesia since that's the only thing that's been blamed concerning everything that's different. I wish I can just tell Declan and Lily that I came from a parallel world but then again they might think I'm even more crazy than before and then blame it on this so called "amnesia".  "Is that so?" I decided to just go along with everything. "Well I guess that I'm not fat anymore because I have some eating disorder?" "Nahh buddy you are skinny because you decided to go on a diet and lose weight, simple as that." Declan then went and hugged me. I sighed and he let go of me. "I still want to see my face so uhmm do you know anyone who does self portraits? "Oh yeah of course I know someone!" Lily said this with a huge smile. "Oh right of course! let's go see Sarah. Declan said this with enthusiasm and then grabbed my arm and we both went downstairs and out the door with Lily stumbling after us.

"WHOAH Why are we in a rush?" I said while trying to keep up with Declan. Declan then stopped. "What do you mean "why are we in a rush?" I mean who DOESN'T want to see Sarah? Firstly she's a GREAT friend of ours and she's super fun to be with and secondly her art is AMAZING and she has a new piece everyday... Wait a minute you mean you don't know who Sarah is?" Well it depends on who it is, what's her last name?" I said this because I don't remember having a friend named Sarah.

"Summers.  Sarah Summers is her name.

"Nope, never heard of her"

 " I can't believe you forgot our most epic  friend, I wonder who else you forgot existed. ". Declan said this with a sigh and a frown. "Well whatever we're going to meet her right? so LETS GO! I said this and nudged Declan to lead the way. We started running and left Lily behind who just cached up to us. I'm so sorry Lily....
