Truth Or Dare

Prologue

Everyone knew Cheryl Blossom, she was the IT girl of Riverdale High. One summer her twin brother Jason and her went for a boat ride across the sweetwater river. The boat tipped and they fell in. Cheryl had made it across the river and to dry land but Jason had seemingly drowned.

At least that's what everyone thought, but it turned out it was all a ruse. Cheryl had taken Jason across the river so he could run away from the Blossom family for good. He had promised to come back for her once him and Polly were settled in at the farm.

He never did.

Jason Blossom was found in the woods, half submerged in the sweetwater river half on land. A bullet hole between his eyes.

That was only the beginning of a rough year for Cheryl.

The redheaded teen was first accused of the murder of Jason Blossom and had even said it herself. "I'm guilty" but the truth was, she wasn't. She blamed herself for what happened to Jason.

It later came out that her father Clifford Blossom had shot and killed his own son. When Cheryl confronted him, he took off to the barn where he was later found by the police. Hanging from the rafters. Dead. Just like Jason.

But that was only the beginning for Cheryl. She'd lost her brother and now her father. It was growing harder for her to keep pretending like nothing was wrong. Until she finally had enough and sent a message out to the one person who had been there for her. Veronica Lodge.

When Veronica had figured out the message she gathered her boyfriend Archie, best friend Betty, and Betty's boyfriend Jughead. They raced to the sweetwater river, hoping they weren't too late.

The problem was, it was snowing and the river had frozen over.

"Cheryl!" They each took turns yelling.

"She's not here." Archie says after a moment.

Veronica frowns. "Then where else could she be?"

Betty's eyes widen as she catches movement out on the ice covered river. "There!" she cries out.

Everyone quickly turned to look, seeing Cheryl Blossom dressed in all white. She was banging on the ice.

"Cheryl! Cheryl stop!" They were yelling, they had stepped forward but heard the ice cracking.

Cheryl stood up and slowly turned to face them.

"Cheryl, please come to the shore and we can fix this. Together." Veronica begs softly.

But it was too late, the ice gave way and Cheryl fell into the freezing water.

"Cheryl!" They yelled, all four of them running onto the ice. No longer caring about their own safety.

It was on that day, Archie Andrews broke his hand as he punched through the ice to save Cheryl.

That day, began a new friendship and bond with Cheryl and the gang. She was no longer going to be alone.
