Chapter 11:

Duties With The Headboy

The next morning Jasmine found herself in her common room, on the couch, surrounded of parchments, each full of duties and things she needed to do. Where was Potter? Alright, it was 6 am, but she couldn't do all that work by herself! They had to plan a Halloween party, create patrolling plans and change the Gryffindor and Slytherin's passwords, not to mention to send every day a charm to the Ravenclaw tower entrance, so the bird kept working and help any student that needed it.

Jasmine took a sip of her green tea, while looking at the parchment in front of her. Drinking green tea had become a habit of hers she had gotten used at in her time in Japan. The green tea always made her feel awake, and it was really good for concentration. Then she grabbed a nut and looked started scribbling ideas for the Halloween ball.

Ask the prefects to help with decorating (spiders, bats, typical pumpking...etc.)

,,What are you doing?"

A voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She turned around, only to see Potter leaning over her shoulder.

,,Heads stuff. All this papers--" she looked around ,,-are our duties."

Potter groaned as he let himself fall on thw couch, next to her

,,Do I have to do this?"

,,Yes! Now, help me with the Halloween thing, please. I am not sure how to plan everything out."

,,Boring..."

Jasmine huffed annoyed: ,,Just do it"

But instead of doing it, he started babbling about himself. At least until Jasmine casted a Silencing Charm on him and smirked. Potter looked around, while Jasmine tried her best to ignore him.

,,What is this?"

,,Hmm?"

Jasmine looked up and saw a  with two Asian girls on it, as she smiled.

,,That's from Mahoutokoro. At Halloween, we would leave the castle and join the festivities in Tokyo. We could even bring our wands (as long as we didn't use magic), because the muggles thought it was just part of our costume. Yet, we still had to cover ourselves. The one on the left is me. I used some charms to look different and match with the others. And on the right there is Ayaka Chikako, my best friend at that time. She was often been laughed at because of her name, as 'Ayaka' means 'colorful flower', and 'Chikako' 'child of wisdom'. But I think it suited her."

Potter nodded and showed her another : ,,And this?"

Jasmine threw a short look at it:

,,That was in Durmstrang. A Vampire Lady (I think her name was Vulpecula) and her fiance had their wedding there, at Halloween. Professor Karkaroff, the Headmaster, was bringing them blood the entire time, so they did not get hingry and attack us."

Potter seemed impressed: ,,So you were at a Vampire's wedding? Wicked. I think I just have gotten an idea!"

,,If you want to plan a Vampire wedding at Hogwarts, forget it."

,,No, not that"

Jasmine raised her eyebrow at him.

,,Fine, at first I thought about that, but now I have another idea."

Jasmine closed one of the books and faced him: ,,I'm listening"

,,We could use some of your Japanese traditions. Like, the food and so..." He trailed off, while Jasmine nodded.

,,That is actually a very good idea."

They spent the next twenty minutes planning everything and discussing stuff, while getting to know each other a little bit better. Potter was particullary impressed to hear that she had been on the Quidditch team (as Chaser) ever since her first year, but that was nothing when he also found out she had gotten an 'O' in almost all her OWLs.

,,How????" He had said, while looking so confused at her, that she had started laughing at him.
