Chapter 21:

A Sisterly Talk

,,Really?"

,,Well, the prank was magnificient, you can't deny that"

,,Professor Slughorn is so mad..."

,,How'd you reckon she pulled the prank?"

,,I've heard that James Potter has a clue about it...It may only be a rumor though..."

Jasmine cursed inwardly. Stupid Potter with his hazel eyes, stupid Potter with his smartness and big mouth.

It had been already two days since the prank (2.11.1977), but people were still talking about it the entire time. Jasmine had felt flattered at first, but then a few girls started creating 'clubs' to find out who the Swan Lady was, getting on Jasmine's nerves.

As she walked around the corner she bumped into someone.

,,Sorry" she muttered.

,,It's alright, ginger"

Jasmine looked up; Sirius Black.

,,How's life, Black?" She asked him, in an attempt to create a conversation. Black shrugged:

,,Good enough, Prongs' being annoying with the 'Swan Lady'....How is yours?"

This time Jasmine was the one who shrugged: ,,Well, I guess. Do we really have a DADA exam on Monday?"

He nodded, before glancing at his watch: ,,Oh! I have to go; Marauders things...See ya, Evans!" He called, and ran away.

Jasmine shrugged to herself and kept walking her way to the Black lake. She was going to see Severus there.

,,You!"

Suddenly, somebody grabbed her and, before letting her react, pulled her into a deserted corridor. Jasmine looked up: ,,Lily?"

Lily was looking weirdly dashing. She was wearing a light blue  (which was way to short in Jasmine's opinion) and lilac heels. Her lips were painted  (Lily never wore violet) and she had  pastel green .But the weirdest thing was something truly shocking: Lily's usually dyed dark red hair, was the normal  tone it had ever been, and her eyes were electric blue. Just how they had always been.

Lily examined twin sister closely, before letting a smirk grow on her lips and saying: ,,Oh, I see you haven't been invited."

Jasmine raised her eyebrows. Her head was filled with thousand of questions.

,,Invited to what?"

Lily giggled girly: ,,Sirius Black's birthday party, of course! His birthday is tomorrow, but we're celebrating until midnight"

Why was Lily telling her all this?

,,I assume that is why you are dressed like that?"

Lily nodded. She was acting as if she had never threatened her, or yelled at her.

,,And, er...why are you looking normal?"

Lily blinked: ,,Oh! Well, somebody started a rumor about me being fake, and Peeves heard it, so, yeah...Besides, after seeing that Boggart I decided to try a new look."

,,What do you want?" Jasmine finally asked. She as not dumb; she knew there was a particular reason for her being so 'nice'.

Lily curled a ginger lock around her finger:

,,Well..." a little smirk was making a way to her mouth ,,There might be something I want from you..."

,,Yes?" Jasmine asked impatiently. She was not falling for her sister's manipulation ,,I am not stupid Lily. Go straight to the point!"

,,Fine!" Lily hissed ,,One: stay out of my way, you are trying to ruin my reputation and popularity. Two: Stay.Away.From.James.Potter"

,,Excuse me?" asked Jasmine incredulous.

,,You heard me. Stay away from James"

,,Why? It's a bit hard, you know, with the Heads stuff and everything" said Jasmine. Lily was being stupid.

,,Oh, don't think I don't see it! Everybody sees it! The way you glance at him! You think you can steal him? Well, you can't! He.Is MINE!" Lily whisper-yelled the last part.

,,He'a been madly in love with me since we started Hogwarts" Lily started ,,Always admiting it, not being shy..." She gasped slightly ,,Asking me on dates left and right! Ahh,"

,,Lillan," interrupted Jasmine ,,if you really like him, then why did you reject him for six, no, almost seven years?"

Lily glared at her: ,,Never heard of playing hard to get?"

,,Yes. And that was not it." stated Jasmine ,,One thing is playing hard to get, the other is crushing a boys heart. Besides, he hasn't been asking you for over a month."

Lily huffed: ,,Indeed. Because of you. You are trying to distract him of me, because you are a jealous b*tch and can't stand the fact that I have a boy after me for years and you not. He's mine. And you better don't get in my way or you'll suffer the consequences."

Something inside Jasmine snapped: ,,This is ridiculous! First, you claim somebody as yours, second, you threaten me for talking with them!"

Lily rolled her eyes: ,,It is not ridiculous, it makes pretty much sense. So, you better have listened to my words because I won't repeat it again. Don't. You. Dare." She growled. Then, to Jasmine's astonishment she smiled.

,,Before this night ends, James Potter will be mine, and there will be nothing, nothing that you'll do about it."
