Chapter 19
I woke up, smiling. Until I felt the bile rising in my throat. I covered my mouth, and quickly ran to the bathroom, where my puke escaped through my fingers and onto the floor. Crap! I skidded to the toilet, where I slipped, and fell. My puke went all over my clothes, and all over the floor.
God, this is gross. I sat up, knowing that my a$s was going to have a huge bruise, and peeled off my clothes. Then I got a towel, and ran into my room, getting new clothes. I took a shower, and after that, I mopped the floor.
Then, after the floor and my body was throw-up free, I sat on the couch next to Petunia.
“You clean the floor real good?” She asked me.
“Yeah.” I told her. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me! I feel fine, besides in the mornings.”
She felt my forehead. “You don’t feel hot.”
I shrugged, and turned my attention to the TV. On the news, was a picture of Will. It said, “Missing Boy.”
My eyes widened.
Then the lady appeared on the screen. “Seventeen year old Will Parson has gone missing. He was last seen by his parents three days ago, walking home from school. If you have any information on Will’s wareabouts, please call 1-800-MISSING, or 911.”
My eyes widened even more, if possible.
“Wasn’t that your ex-boyfriend, Deirdra?” Petunia asked me. I nodded.
“I’m going to go to bed.” I informed her. “I don’t feel very well.” I wasn’t sick, but my stomach had unfriendly butterflies in it.
“Feel better.” I walked into my room and sunk down onto the bed.
Dang. I didn’t know that it would happen that fast! I slid under the comfort of my covers and fell asleep.
Two Weeks Later
I was woken up by Bobbi, Petunia’s son, jumping up and down on my bed like a maniac. “Bobbi!” I groaned. “Get out!”
“No. Mom told me to wake you up because you have a doctors appointment at three, and its two now. And it takes 30 minutes to get there.”
I quickly sat up and ran into the bathroom to take a shower.
Since the day I saw Will on the news, I haven’t killed anyone. I was so nervous about getting caught, that I just didn’t.
After I got out of the shower, it was 2:25, so I booked it downstairs with my eyeliner.
Even after two weeks later, I was still getting morning sickness, and my stomach always felt queasy.
I got into the car and applied my eyeliner as Petunia drove steady. Once we were there, I was called into the office and greeted by a Dr. Hicks.
“Hello, Deirdra.”
“Hi.”
“So, tell me how you’ve been felling over the past month…”
He started checking my body after about five minutes of questions. “Tell me about your symptoms.”
“I… I’ve been having morning sickness, and my stomach always feels queasy. And, it’s like I’m bi-polar or something, because my moods change so quickly. Like, I’ll be so happy, then I’ll just get so depressed.”
“Right…” He scribbled something down. “When was your last period, Deirdra?”
I told him.
“And when was your last sexual intercourse?” he asked.
“Ummm…. About…” I tried to think of the date, but the image of Rays blood and brains all over me kept coming into my head. “I think it was four, maybe five weeks ago. Doctor, why are you asking me these types of questions?”
“Because, Deirdra, I think you’re pregnant.”
