Chapter 4

"Hi, is this seat taken? ", A fairly tall guy asked Suz

She nodded and he soon made himself comfortable next to her, Suz hated interacting with people, she always preferred staying in her bio-bubble where she felt safe, she shared very little of us and was quite a listener than a chatter.

"Hi, I am Ben, "he said with a wide smile

"Hi I am Alisha, this is Suz and Tay "I replied back returning the energy

"Hi Ben, what are your majors? "Tay asked him back

"I am majoring in Bioinformatics but I have taken English lit as my second subject "

I soon noticed a small smile on Suz face, she was just looking at him all this time without uttering a word

"Suz is also doing the same, see you found a friend now Suz "Tay interrupted her thoughts and brought her back

Suz just smiled back at him, the class started and I could see Ben trying conversations with Suz

The class ended and I had to walk all the way up to attend another class at the B block.

Finally, my first day came to an end and I was ready to come back to the room and just lie on my bed, it was indeed a great day but I was too tired from all the walking even lunch was short today because it took us time to find a quiet place to sit, we finally ended up sitting on the lawn, and this time we were accompanied by Ben.

Looks like Suz was talking to him better than morning, I could see her cheeks go red whenever he kept laughing narrating the incident that happened in their lab today.

I finally came back to my room to take a nap before making a quick run to the library, Tay was already in she was on a call with her dad, talking to him about her day, I quietly came in without disturbing them, lay down on my bed scrolling insta before I remembered I had to check the calendar of events to plan my trip to Chicago for the holidays before I came across this musical night that was about to take place a month from now after the Fresher's night which was supposed to happen this weekend.

Oh, Shoot !!!, Freshers night I have to buy something to wear for that, I didn't bring any of my party wear, I thought I'll get the rest of my clothes when I go back for the holidays

Tay was done with her call she soon scooted next to me on the bed staring at a screen full of party wear from Zara

"Noooooooo, you don't buy clothes online, come on you are in New York, let's go shopping "Tayler snatched my phone

"I can never say no to shopping, let's go but you have to guide me around here, waitt but where is Suz "I realized it was 4 and Suz wasn't back yet, we soon decided to call her

"Hi "came a timid voice

"Hey, if you haven't saved my number yet ill beat the pulp out of u, I understand you dint know ur number but you must save mine, I am an important part of your life now ".

"I saved your number ish, I am at the Library"

"What ??, why now, I mean come back, we were about to go shopping for Freshers day, Tay will show us around "

" Ish, I am sorry I don't think I can make it today, I am here with Ben we were finishing this novel together, I'll talk to you guys when you guys come back, have fun girls !!"

Okay, this was a surprise our baby girl was spending time with a guy at the library the place where most romantic novel scenes are created.

So I and Tay left to go shopping in one of the busiest cities ever, since Tay had her car, it was more convenient to move around the city

She took me to the shops around the Columbus circle, that's when I knew I was at the right place with the right person

Tay started to pick out a couple of dresses for me, all gothic and perfect for the disco night, I tried on a few of them and brought a couple of them, cause who knows extras can come in handy, a reason I always give myself when my shopaholic self makes its appearance.

We decided to talk a walk around for a while before we head back.

This was the first time I and Tay were spending time outside our room and I began to like this girl already, She was super close with her dad, supremely talented played guitar and a big-time swiftie.

But the thing that clicked the most was that both of us loved shopping grocery and stationary more than clothing, we could literally get lost and end up being broke once we entered those stores and we loved Dogs, The hostel got lucky there was a strict no pets policy or we would go crazy around it.

We decided to call it a night and take some pizza and ice cream for takeaway on our way back for dinner cause it was late.

We finally came back with 2 bags full of clothing and 2 boxes of Pizza, a giant bottle of coke, and ice cream.

As soon as we opened the door Suz jumped out of her table in fear and quickly hid something under the bed which I suspected was a diary she was writing.
