Promises

Chapter 12

I bent down to quickly collect the photo that had fallen off the dairy, It had a date written on it 6/7/2004 on the backside, I flipped the photo to see what it was. 

It was back an old photo of a small girl and a boy, I stared into the photo for a second, it was an innocent little girl with dusky brown hair with the widest smile ever showing how happy she was holding onto the boy's hand tightly as if she never wanted to let go of him, the boy standing next to her was taller than her and had a small scar on his hand as if it was a burnt mark, he was looking at the little girl holding his hand with a smile as to assuring he would always take care of her and keep her safe.  A smile left my face remembering Matt before I carefully put the photo back into the dairy and kept it back, Tay was very pretty as a kid although i don't recall her talking about her brother, I soon collected the leather jacket, and left. 

The meeting was held in the auditorium again, the place scares the life out of me and gave me negative vibes already, I was a bit early I decided to go in and wait for everyone to assemble, The auditorium was empty, I went inside and my eye suddenly caught someone playing his guitar hymning lyrics with his back facing the door, I decided to walk up to him and talk to him while I wait.

" Hey, I am .." just as I was about to finish he turned back and stood up 

I had forgotten how tall Noah was, He had bright blue eyes with a hint of green, his hair straight and loose strands of hair covering his forehead, He held his guitar in his hand and he had an astonished look on his face, He took his hand and pushed a bit of hair from his face 

" Oh, It's you, " He said looking away, it looked like he was pretty annoyed at me cause of what all had happened. 

" Yeah, I am sorry about what all happened, " I said as I pulled a chair next to him 

" Yeah, it's fine "

" Maybe thank god, I didn't get suspended," he said while tuning his guitar 

" Do you think, this hits A major correctly? " He said while his long fingers smoothly brushed those 5 strings together to get the perfect scale 

" Just perfect," I said with a smile 

" My boi is already here " James screamed loud enough for it to echo on his way inside, He was accompanied by a couple of his other friends

" And looks like we have a company already, " He said pulling me into a hug 

" Damm  when I heard you, I instantly knew you were going to be our next lead "I gave him a reassuring smile I looked at their other friends Oliver and Steph gave me a quick nod while Sophia seemed like she hated me already.

The meeting was fun and I didn't realize how time flew, we decided on a few notes we will be hitting from our next practice, we had exactly 2 months left for the big day 

The Summerfest was an annual music festival that was held in a different city every year usually during the summer break students from different colleges come to complete for their spot to play along the celebrity musician , It was hosted by the berklee school of music to promote young artists , Last year it was held in London and , Last year our college won and performed alongside alan walker at the concert . The celebrity guest is usually kept a secret until they are on stage and still they are always sold out within an hour of opening, thousands of artists from everywhere come here to be a part of this festival, Its a big night for all aspiring artists , I was looking forward to this oppertunity all my life.
