Chapter 6

I woke up feeling very nauseous today, I felt it was cause of the late-night pizza party, I decided to wear a black peplum crop top which had a cute bow at the back and high waisted white ripped jeans, I decided to carry my jacket but it was a bright sunny morning the birds were singing their way into the day the clouds were enjoying their time in the sky.

I could see Suz checking herself out in front of the mirror and change her outfit twice must be an important day I giggled to myself from my bed while I secretly saw her put on some lipstick and straighten her already straight hair, she looked prettier than before, she wore a black dress with polka dots and white heals.

Tay called it a day, much expected, she said she didn't feel well and I guessed both of us were feeling it cause of the heavy eating last night so we left her to rest, I warned her from leaving the bed and promised to bring her soup by break time and asked her to call me in case she wanted something, all my classes today were in B block it was a 2min walk from the room.

I also wanted to go check with the cultural forum today, I was always interested in organizing events and singing, I used the head of the music club back in Chicago, I miss doing gigs and performing.

At break time, I called Tay to check what she wanted to have, but she said she already ordered and had soup and she was going to rest for a while so I decided to have lunch alone today at the cafeteria scrolling through the cultural forum's page on insta and while scrolling and looking at some of their jamming videos, I clicked on the story

And it was a video where a Fair Asian looking guy was Jamming to something, I think was their own composition was sounding good and suddenly a girl pops from the background and shouts at the camera amidst the music in the background

"This is your only chance to be a part of our team, come and sing ur way into the team, Auditions today at 5 pm guys, toodles "I almost slipped from my seat

"It's today Janeeee, I haven't even prepared what am I going to sing, this is huge I want to be a part of his team they even performed for Alan walker last year it's my only chance I can't screw this up, I have to do something, I think I should forget about it, I don't think I can be a part of this cool gang or whatever she called it "I could see a lot of eyes on me so I guessed I was assumed to be this loud girl screaming and walking on the lawn nervously

"I think you need to breathe first, you don't have to be prepared Ish, just give ur best, you have an amazing voice Ish, don't let it go in vain "

"But what should I sing? should I sing something in a high tone or should I keep it simple and light, IDK I am so confused "

"The song doesn't matter Ish, just feel it and give ur best Girl "

"Okay Jane, I'll call you in the eve and let you know how it went "talking to jane always calm my nerves

I had 2 classes before the audition and I was starting to feel cramps, I checked my calendar and my periods were 4 days away so I decided to ignore it and focus on what to sing.

I couldn't concentrate for the next 2 hours and not having Suz and Tay around, I felt very restless.

Suz and Ben had only 3 classes and after those classes, they left to go the British library and decided to have lunch on the way, they both looked very excited, I could see a different kind of smile on Bens face showing clear signs that he had also grown fond of her.

I finished my class and head to the auditorium where the auditions were going to be held, there were a lot of students at registrations.

"Hi, Sophie and you? "A girl in blonde with perfect curls greeted me with a smile and registered me for the auditions

This was going to take a while I realized seeing the amount of crowd that had come, vocalists, drummers, guitarists everyone well prepared with instruments and papers with lyrics and tunes and I was standing there with my phone scrolling through the karaoke app.

The auditions soon began.

"Hey guys, this is James, I have been heading this club for a year now with Noah, I am so glad to see such a huge crowd this year, we have a selection committee sitting there who will be deciding on the team today "

"First let's welcome my Co-head Noah "The crowd went crazy over his entry

And in came the guy, the same guy from the insta story who had a well-built structure, tall and masculine he looked better in real, he wore a casual white shirt, black jacket and ripped black jeans and white sneakers, he had deep brown eyes which could reflect your whole world in a blink, well-groomed beard there was something dreamy about this guy.
