Promises

Chapter 9

I walked up the hallway to my room, I had completely forgotten about Tay, I opened the door quietly so I don't wake her up, she was sleeping like a baby.

I quietly went fetched the clothes from the closet and went to change, I had to also go fetch a stain remover when we go grocery shopping this weekend to remove the disaster that had been created. 

Suz was still not back and I was getting bored before I knew I was already scrolling through insta, I usually don't get many DMs but there were several notifications today, to my shock there were so many story mentions, I clicked on the first one to check what it was, it was a video of Me on the stage slapping Noah and it was captioned "Womeniser, served ". I was shocked to see this there were 1000s of comments under the post 

"Noah, you bastard"

"Well done Alicia "

"Brave Alicia "

" He deserves this "

" Bloody m****r, touches women on stage "

" He has to be suspended "

I could not understand what was happening, Everyone had clearly misunderstood the situation, no one had actually witnessed what had happened.

My hands itching to comment and shout at each one of these people who made the video and commented shit about him

Just as I was about to do something, the door opened and Suz and Ben walked in. Suz was laughing her heart out "I am serious, he just fell into the drain himself " He was telling her as he was trying to contain his laugh 

Looking at them reminded me of the good old days back in Chicago with Will ...

"Ish, what happened you look Ill, are you tired? , are you okay? " Suz sat down next to me holding my hand in hers and hugged me, as soon as she hugged me,  I melted, I melted into her arms, all the tears that I was trying to fight had left my heart, All I needed was a reassuring bear hug to feel safe and comfortable.

Sensing the situation, Ben quickly grabbed a bottle of water and brought it to me, I could sense the awkwardness taking over his face, He didn't know if he wanted to leave or stay, If I would be comfortable with him staying, He pressed my shoulder reassuring everything will be fine, looked at Suz , she nodded and he left. This was enough noise to wake Tay up, she woke up to see me cry and she freaked out, jumped out of her bed, and came rushing next to me 

"Ish, what happened , why you crying , did someone do anything , what happened "I could sense the tension in her face ,  I nodded denying everything knowing sooner or later they will know it 

" Baby, did anyone do something? talk to us please " Suz said, trying to wipe my tears 

I began narrating everything from how I ended up at the audition to what had happened backstage, I spread my hand out to show them the comments on the post and how everyone was shaming him.

"It's not ur fault Ish, people are crazy here,  I am sure everyone will eventually understand, you don't even have to show them Ish, He will be fine. " Tay was trying to soothe me up. 

But some things were still bothering me, what if college suspends him, what if the student committee will accuse him, what if he hates me, He was sweet and protective of me to only land here. 

" What do you want to do sweetheart," Suz asked 

I nodded my head not knowing what to do. I wanted to do something to help him but I didn't know, I had to think of something to do tomorrow, meet him first thing in the morning.

" I know what can fix this, Grab your coats let's go for ice cream, Remember I am starving since morning ?" Tay started pointing at her belly with a babyface no one can say no to 

" I guess it's Suz treat, cause clearly something hot is brewinggg " I giggled pushing her making her cheeks go red.
