Promises

Chapter 15

I closed my eyes not wanting to feel anything and suddenly my hands began to loosen and I didn't feel his touch on my face anymore, I opened my eyes to see what was happening and heard a sudden thud, The man was beaten to the ground and as I looked up to see whose shadow had been hovering around me I saw him.

" Hey, you okay? "

I was delighted to see a familiar face without thinking my first instinct was to go hug him tightly, He was taller and my head was pressed to his chest and I could hear his heart vigorously pumping, I didn't realize how long I was there just tightly holding him before I felt his hand rubbing my back 

" It's fine, It's fine, I am here now " 

All those tears that I had been holding in since then started to burst out, He pulled me away from him and cupped my face in his hands. He looked into my eyes, I was trying my best to hide under his gaze

" Look at me, Alisha" He paused and pulled my chin up. 

" Look at me, You are safe now okay?, I am here, nothing will happen to you ".

"He... He touched my face and he was about to... " I started sobbing before I could continue my words, He pulled me into a hug and started whispering to me to calm me down. 

" Shushhh, It's over now you are safe with me " Idk how long I stayed there before I forced myself of his sweatshirt which was wet now from my sobs and the zip from the leather jacket was poking my face

" Will you wait here while I go get James' car? or Will you ..." before he could finish I held his hand tight 

"Please don't leave alone, please don't leave me here " I started begging him 

" No, No I won't leave you, ill just go get the car, It looks like it might rain any second now "

"No, don't leave me alone, not now, please " I was pleading him now letting my guard down, I had never been in this situation before and It was a new feeling, I was scared than ever before, I had never felt I would get abused by a man ever and when I think of what could have happened if Noah hadn't come. The moment I close my eyes the way that man's hand felt on my face takes over and fills me with disgust. 

" You dint even let me celebrate today " 

" I am so sorry " I wanted to ask him to go back to the bar and enjoy with his friends but at this moment I was too selfish to think what would happen if he leaves me alone to walk back. 

'' But you dint ask me what I was going to celebrate? " He made me realize my brain wasn't working, I raised my head towards him and smiled. 

" A music producer I was talking to since long approved my first song cover "

" Wow, that's great news, why dint you tell us before? or is that why we came for drinks today? "

" No, No, no knows yet, I was coming out of the bar, to come find you and my phone ringed and it was him, I shouldn't have taken that call or all this wouldn't have happened "

" Hey... No, you saved me yet again "

" Thank you Noah " 

" You can still celebrate it, I will go from here," I said as soon as I saw the campus gate

" No, I don't think I will be telling any of them now, I'll wait for an official signing, I don't want to get their hopes high "

" Well, then you can come in and there is a bottle of wine in our room, we can open, I am sure Tay will understand a small celebration like this," I said as we walked up to read our rooms 

I pulled out my keys to unlock the doors and went in to get the bottle of wine finely hidden in Tay's closet that I had seen this morning.

" Come in, they are not here," I said welcoming him in 

" No grab the bottle, I'll take you somewhere "
