Chapter 10

I couldn't sleep the whole night, there was a trail of thoughts that keep haunting me, how do I help him?  how do I face him? how do I meet him?  

I woke up earlier than usual, I took a quick shower my hair was wet, I decided to blow dry them and let the curls stay, I wore a black polka dot dress and black heels 

I packed my bag and left earlier than usual, the girls said they'll catch up later, I went to the coffee shop for my regular shot, I could already see I was getting more attention than usual, it had all started to hit me that the video had gone viral.

I remembered James' number was up on the forum page for queries so I decided to call him up and ask for Noah's number.

" Hey James, This is Alicia "

" Alicia as in the one from auditions? " I could already sense the hatred he had from his voice 

" yeah, that's me "

" What do you want Alicia, He was just trying to help you and you ... "

" Okay just tell me what do you want? "he continued

" I want to talk to him, I wanted his number "

" Alicia, I don't think this is really a good time.. "

" I just wanted to apologize to him James, nothing more please "

"It's of no use now, they already removed him from the forum and they might even suspend him"

" What, they cant suspend him looking at a video? it's only half of the story "

" The student council saw the video, they claim they got complaints from a few students from the audience against Noah for abusing a girl and the video served as proof. "

" They have another meeting, later this afternoon to discuss his suspension "

" If he gets suspended his scholarship, his album, his music, everything is at stake " 

" James, where can I meet the council? "

It was 2 pm, I was waiting outside the dean's office for an hour now for the council, I was hungry as hell, I had one pancake for breakfast this morning, The door opened and a woman in her late 50s called me in with a smile.

The student council was in a meeting with Mr. Wisley, the dean of student affairs

 Mr. Wisley was waiting by the door to greet me " Oh Ms. Witt, I was expecting to see you earlier today "

" I wanted to talk to the council before they made their decision Sir "

" Ms. Witt, I personally wanted to meet you and request you not to press charges against Noah, This is a very sensitive issue and I will personally make sure justice is served "

"No Sir, that's not why I am here ..." I explained the whole situation to the Dean and the committee, after asking me a number of times if I was forced to come here by him to bail him out, they got assured that Noah was innocent, not guilty.

" Alicia, the council dropped charges against Noah, They said the evidence wasn't enough to prove him guilty, they asked him to take over the Forum again " James called me as I was on my way to the library, he was excited, sounded better than morning at least.

"Yea, I heard "

" What did you tell them ?" 

" I just told them the truth  but James I want you to promise me you won't tell this to Noah, I don't want him to think I was returning his favor"

" But he deserves to know "

" James please, I won't ask you for more "
