After a year

Sonakshi: Apka jaana jarrori hai kya?

She stares at Vyom as he packed his bag.

Vyom: Sona, please tension mat lo. Khudka and iska khayal radio.

Vyom touched her eight months baby bump. Yes. They got married a year ago.

Sonakshi: Kaise tension na Lu. Vyom please iss baar mat jayiye.

She held his hand in her, pleading with her eyes.

Vyom: Baby, jaana jarorri hai mera. Agar tum side karogi toh mein sahi mein mission par dhyan nahi de paunga. I will keep missing you aur uss chakar mein goli la-

Sonakshi: Vyom! Apse kitni baar kaha hai, aise baate mat kijiye! Jayiye aap! Mein reh lungi akele baby ke saath.

Vyom: Sona! Please.

He wraps his arms around her, pursuading her.

He didn't wanted to leave her alone. Not when she was carrying the symbol of their love. He knew that his wife needed him the most in this critical situation.

But he also knew the people who were tormented in Afghanistan need help.

He had to leave.

Sonakshi: Ye ek toh normal mission bhi nahi hai. Sab news pe dikh raha hai. Border par dehshat machi Hui hai, aap kya kaise expect kar sakte hai ki mein apko na roku.

Vyom holds her face in his hand, directly looking into her eyes.

The pain, fear, and love in her eyes almost made him stop.

Vyom: Sonakshi, I am a fighter. I am supposed to save people. Tumhe acha lagega kya ki tumhara pati dar ke maare gharpe chupa rahe. Tumhe acha lagega ye jaante hue ki mein kisiki jaan bacha sakta tha par dar ke wajah se Nahi bacha paya.

Sonakshi shakes her head in denial.

Vyom: Exactly. Be proud and keep smiling. Mein India ke liye jaa raha hu. I promise I will be back to you.

He kissed her lips softly, showing his love and sealing his promise.

After packing Sonakshi walked him out of their house. The car was already waiting for him.

She didn't want to cry, but she couldn't stop crying.

Vyom kneels down and kissed her bump.

Vyom: Daddy will be back champ. Momma ko jyada pareshan mat karna, okay? Be good. I love you.

He stands and wipes Sonakshi's tears.

Vyom: Hey, shhhh.....I will be back soon.

He whispered hugging her tightly.

Sonakshi: Please be back. Don't get hurt. Don't die. That jaldi aana. I love you, Vyom.

Vyom: I will. I love you, Sonakshi.

He kissed her for the last time and Sonakshi reluctantly let go of his hand. Vyom waved his hand and climbed into the car.

Sonakshi bite her tongue hard and waved back at him. She stands out of the house till the car vanished.

As soon as he was away from her eyes, she started missing him.

Vyom drink a bottle of cold water and silently sheds tears. It took everything for him to not cry in front of Sonakshi.

His teammate keep his hand on Vyom's shoulder.

“I understand. Don't worry, bhabi thik rahegi."
