“Wait, what—” He randomly started skating around the rink with me, his hand holding tightly onto mine while his free hand swung around willingly. “I'm telling Youngbin!” Jay shouted from the corner, making me chuckle. “Sunghoon and Youngjae! I ship!” Sunoo squealed happily as he managed to skate around without wobbling with the help of Heeseung. “I thought she was your girlfriend.” Jay spoke, rather confusingly. “You seriously need to know what are jokes and what aren't jokes.” Sunoo spat. Sunghoon abruptly took both of my hands, diverting my attention from the other boys to him. “Why are you paying attention to them instead of me?” “Huh? What do you mean?” He slightly glanced at the side, where the two girls were acting like they were minding their own business but were surely listening to our conversation.

“Oh, uh...sorry. I got distracted when Jay said that he thought I was Sunoo's girlfriend.” Sunghoon slightly pouted. “You know whose girlfriend you are. Let's go back, keep your eyes only on me, got it?” I smiled sheepishly. “Got it.” Sunghoon and I continued to skate around the rink, hand on hand. The two girls had put on their gears and were discreetly following us behind. “Screw you, Park Sunghoon. Now they're going to shoot tons of unnecessary questions at me again.” I whispered and he simply chuckled. “That was my plan, to be honest.” I tightly held onto his hand, making him yelp. “What the heck?” “I told you not to use my female friends to mess with me. Any other way is okay.” “Pfft...I don't care. Hold on tight.” He suddenly swirled me around on the ice. “Park Sunghoon!” He chuckled and held onto both my shoulders to help me keep my balance, which by the way were bad regions to hold onto.

I quickly squirmed away from his hands and fell on my buttocks. Sunghoon eyed me confusingly. “That hurt.” I whined. “You shouldn't have jerked away like that when I was helping you balance yourself.” He complained as he held out both his hands to help me get up. “Sorry, I guess?” I winced at the pain that was starting to intensify on my shoulder. “Why are you making a funny face? Does it hurt that bad?” I froze at his question but then I realized that he meant my butt. “Yes. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go to the restroom.” I struggled to skate away from there. Sunghoon directly took me by my hand and helped me get to the exit. “You're being such a gentleman today, what happened?” He hushed me. “You know it. Go do your business, just inform me if you have or want to go home.” I nodded and he left.

After taking off my gear, I hastily made my way to the restroom. I didn't want to take off my top since I knew I wasn't in a not so confidential place. I shouldn't have agreed to that plan if I had known I was gonna end up like this. I cringed as I slightly took a look at the mark. It looked like it was getting worse. My lips formed into a thin line. I didn't want to leave early since we hadn't hung out together like that in a long time plus I knew Sunoo wasn't going to be happy about it. Okay, let's just do what needs to be done and it'll be all okay. I need a hankie though. I turned around to leave and get my bag when I met with Heeseung's cold stare. “This is the women's restroom, what are you doing in here?” “Was that a mark?” “Huh?” “On your shoulder, I saw it just now.” “How long have you been here?” “Answer me.” “Answer me first, when did you get in here? I didn't hear you get in.” “Stay still.”

That was the only thing he said before he walked closer and carefully took a look at my shoulder. I cursed under my breath. Great, now I'm not the only one who knows about this. “When did you get this?” “You don't know me. Why do you care so much?” He softly sighed. “It doesn't matter if I know you or not. Just tell me where and when you got this.” I hesitated to answer him. “Last year, my family decided to go on a camp. When we reached home the next day, I only noticed it then. I don't know how I got it.” “Have you told anyone about it?” “No, I thought it would be a bad idea to tell anyone. You know, they'd care about it too much, like you, right now.” He rolled his eyes and backed away to meet with my gaze. “You're right though. You did a good job with telling no one about this.”

“Thank you? But you know it now.” “I'm an exception, don't worry.” “Why are you an exception? You're not like, someone special in my life or anything.” I folded my arms. “I will be, later.” I laughed in disbelief. “You wish.” “Doubt me and I'll tell your brother and everyone else about this...and your relationship with Jake.” My heart skipped a beat. “H-How did you know about that?” “If I said Sunghoon told me, I would be lying and become the bad guy who wants to get rid of that ice prince from your life. So, I'll just tell you the truth and say that I saw you two together on my first day of school. Your fingers intertwined together while talking about whether you should tell Youngbin about it or not.” I intensely glared at him as I clenched my fists. “Sunghoon knows?” “Well, he was the one who told me not to get in between the two of you, as you have already known, his best buddy and crush are secretly dating. He won't want to see his two dearest friends in distress, will he?” Crush?

“So this is who you truly are.” I prevented myself from hitting him in the face that time. “If you want to think of me as the bad guy, I won't stop you from doing so. Just let me help you—” “Help me? Are you serious right now? How could you possibly think you can help me in a situation like this?” I spat in anger as the mark on my shoulder started to heat up and the pain increased. “You don't know. And I don't think I can tell you how. Keep quiet and just let me do my job. And don't tell anyone about this, or else...you know it.” He demandingly spoke before he got closer again and made the mark visible for him. I was cautious about what he was gonna do since I could solely feel his warm breath on my skin. “Don't freak out.” He whispered.
