I blinked in an attempt to keep my tears from falling after making a scene in the cafeteria. The boys looked at me in terror, especially Jake, who was holding his left burning cheek. It took me a few seconds to notice what I had done. The table was a mess, the boys' clothes were stained while I remained tidy. My eyes trembled as I stood there. Everyone was looking at me in confusion and surprise. “You did it again.” Jake softly muttered, his hand still stuck onto his left cheek. “Youngjae?” Youngbin called me out anxiously. His eyebrows creased upon realizing what had happened, Heeseung blankly looking at the scene beside him. Eventually, everyone went back to mind their own business after a short moment of silence. One of teachers rushed to me and dragged me away from there before the guys around me could speak behalf of me.

“Would you care to explain what you had just caused in the cafeteria?” The headmaster asked, an emotionless expression displayed on his wrinkled face. I looked down at my hands and fiddled with my fingers before gathering up the courage to respond. “I got mad.” “I could see that.” He instantly said and I winced. “I'm sorry.” I softly mumbled. Silence filled the room and I took the chance to explain and clear myself. “Sir, it's hard for me to say this but I have trouble controlling my anger from time to time and...it just happened to occur this afternoon.” I gulped. He didn't say anything. “When I get frustrated and can't decide what to do, I mostly throw tantrum whenever or wherever I am, you can say that I don't pay heed to my surroundings when that time comes.” I chuckled lightly. “Did you attend special classes then?”

I hesitantly nodded. “I did, for a few days, to be precise. I made good progress so I managed to escape from there in a week or two. It's almost five years now. There were times I would accidentally lose my conscience after that but I always had Jake—” I stopped abruptly and looked at the headmaster anxiously. “I know that you're good friends with him, don't worry. Go on.” He stated and I cleared my throat. “Jake was always there to stop and calm me down when he noticed I was starting to lose it again, when my parents or brother weren't around, of course.” I released a tired sigh, totally forgetting that I was talking to our headmaster and not a therapist. “But today, I seemed to have targetted him in particular and hit him then and there before he could even lift a finger.” I confessed softly.

He let out a breath before speaking. “I have no other choice but to call your parents because of the scene you caused back there.” I guiltily nodded. “You'll be detained after school for using violence on one of the students. This wouldn't have to happen if you or your parents had informed us in advance. If I don't let you go with a warning or punishment, the other students would find it weird and I assume that you don't want a lot of people to know about this.” He eyed me, waiting for my response. “Yes, I don't want to catch attention.” I nodded and he mirrored my actions. “I'd like for you to clear your head a bit and talk to your parents whether if you need to attend special classes again or not. You should also apologize to your fellow friends. Make sure this doesn't happen again.”

I sighed in irritation as soon as I walked out from there. It took me a moment to notice the tall figure on the side. I flinched. “Were you listening?” He shrugged before answering. “I got really curious after seeing you lose your senses like that.” I carefully browsed our surroundings before looking at him. “And you were eavesdropping because you wanted to know more about me?” He snapped his fingers. “Yes. You do know that the headmaster's office is soundproof, don't you?” He paused to check my reaction. I was about to thank God when he added. “But people like us can hear through anything so, yeah.” He smiled innocently. I rolled my eyes. “Getting to know me better won't take you anywhere, so just stop trying. I don't even know a single thing about you, except that you're a vampire.” I walked off and he followed from behind.

“You're saying that I should stop getting to know you better because you don't know me well?” He queried in disbelief. “Oh gosh, stop following me. And yes, I don't even know you well— no, I don't know you. Now please leave me alone or else this rumour won't stop unless we go as Youngbin's plan.” I spat and hurried away. “You're not even sure about that!” He shouted, making me wince. I gripped onto the edge of my blazer as I walked closer to the classroom. My heart raced as soon as I took a glance inside the room. Almost all the students were surrounding Jake while Jay and Sunghoon tried their best to keep them away from interrogating him. He sat there, eyes closed as he brought up the ice pack to his left cheek. I released a sigh at the scene and walked inside, clenching my fists.

Just as the students were about to rush to my side, the teacher made her appearance and made them settle down on their seats. “We all know that it's a bit of a hassle right now so, I don't think I have to explain why I arrived late today.” She started, glancing at me. I rolled my eyes and looked down at my table. As long as the headmaster kept it to himself, everyone was going to think that I was out of my mind. How do I apologize to them though? I put my head down on the table, not caring whether the teacher was eyeing me sternly or not. I just needed a break. All of this is happening because of the rumour, and the rumour happened because of him. I should've ignored his arse when Jake told me that he wanted to talk. It's all his fault.
