I woke up on time as my familiar still lay there asleep with a lot of turbulence on his bed. 'Does he dance on his bed at night?' I thought to myself.

"Hey wake up! We are going to get late" I nudged him in a sleepy voice, after which I went to freshen up and even after coming back taking a shower I found his still asleep. I threw a pillow at him urging him to wake up quickly as I dressed up hurriedly. I would have made it in time, was it not for that lazy Wil grumpily getting ready as Eloria also waited for us at the door.

"Let's rock 'n roll bitches!" he cussed in excitement, a regular habit of his I have been trying to suppress. Ignoring his behavior we moved on to the assembly hall where a large sacred tree was standing on the stage with various wands as its branches.

"Whoa its looks like a fir tree of the human world!" he exclaimed surprised, citing an example of his world.

"Alright everyone maintain decorum! Headmaster will be visiting soon!" announced Mr. Augustus, our soon to be spell class teacher.

"Oh but I'm already here!" came a voice from the empty chair left for the headmaster at the center of the stage as he started appearing gradually, sitting casually on his chair massaging his belly as he complained, "I have been here for a whole goddamn hour, start it already!"

Not quite the image one would have of the headmaster. A protruding belly, silky white brown hair reaching his neck but white beard, and a damaged left eye scarred white. Everybody was caught by surprise and immediately went to their groups.

First one, as usual was Adellete again wearing the serious mask on his face, stepping forward to enchant the spell pressing his palm against the charcoal black log of the tree along with his dragon familiar which he had named 'Fruzeir',

Omnipotens praebere facultatem
Control mei sphaeram
Praebueris magicum

As he enchanted the spells, a thick fog condensed around the tree covering its upper half spinning rapidly with thunderous bolts in between, as it slowed down after a while, as one of the wands on the tree landed gently above his hand. He took the wand and presented it to the headmaster.

"A wand made from the spikes of Glacies dragon held together by the hair of the ancient horse, Nebuk." spoke up the headmaster Orlandous Jove, "Well done!" he appreciated Adellete who had a faint smile on his face as he bowed before returning. Fortunately the event of presenting a show with your familiar was cancelled for uncalled reasons – maybe because it was too early or silly.

"Do these wands help you do all the magic stuff?" asked Wilburt impressed by the event he just witnessed.

"Well, more or less, yes. We have the abilities within ourselves, they just help us concentrate and amplify them, and in our case activate them as they need to be activated once in case of newbies, such as us." I explained him seriously.

"Oh! Just like you had the ability to be mean to someone which was not activated until I came into play. Right?" he teased me raising his eyebrows looking down on me, literally. What he said may actually be true. I have been taking responsibility for him quite seriously, but "That's because it's the first time I have to look after a grown up ass child, who, ironically enough, is supposed to be looking after me!" I replied frankly standing on my tip toes trying to reach his height, supporting my arms on my waist, trying to present my authority, which as usual had no effect as he shrugged me off.

"Seems like you are catching his tongue." chuckled Eloria on hearing me utter the words I never had. Maybe she was right.

We had a long way to until it was our chance but the event was too exiting to get bored. Soon Eloria also got her wand which was directly from the staff of Thunder god embraced by the teardrops of a mermaid.

After about 50 more students, 9 verbal fights with my familiar and 2 physical conflicts with him, it was finally our turn. We began walking towards the stage with Wil hopping from excitement technically remaining in front of me the whole time.

Standing under that sacred tree I put my palm of its trunk instructing him to cover my hand with his'. And this was one of those times where he felt uneasy or shy so I had to force his hand onto mine as I exclaimed, "How can you be still so uneasy with me, just touch my hand like this!"
He looked the other way scratching his cheek mumbling, "Who is being uneasy..."

I began chanting the spell,

Omnipotens praebere facultatem, I wonder what is my mage category, is it fire, ice or better air. This will also help to find out about my familiar's specialties.

Control mei sphaeram....I can feel the energy passing from the log to my hands reaching my heart. I can feel its pulse in my hands.

Praebueris magicum... Not only mine, I could feel Wilburt's pulse in his warm hands which was in phase with mine, as the spinning mist began spinning faster and faster and that was when I felt my hair rising and wildly flowing everywhere realizing my hair were not tied. I reached the back of my head to check the band I deifnetely had tied in the morning but found it in his hands, grinning at me, swaying it through his wavy hair. I gritted my teeth as some of the hair came into my mouth. And then he calls me violent!? This bastard!

Gradually the mini-storm settled as my hair went from a well arranged ponytail to a trashy mess, and landed in my hands an unusually long wand, almost double the size of a normal wand.

"Seems like the tree blessed me with a stick just to deal with you." I turned back to my hair-messing familiar giving him the nastiest glare possible, tying back my shambled hair into a half bun. As the ritual was completed, I lifted my hand off the tree as Wil removed his hand from mine, as a cracking sound came from the wand. The farther his hand went from mine, crispier the cracking got, as the wand finally broke, giving out a bright pulse of white light. More precisely, it split in two rather break as the second half went towards Wil, resting on his hand, as everyone, including me gazed at the scene dumbfounded as the wind finally ceased to flow completely. The entire hall was silent.
I presented the wand to headmaster to describe its source but to everyone's surprise he didn't actually know and jokingly described its source as, 'Epic raspberries filled into the apple pie's source tree.'

"Seems like we have made a history! For the first time, a familiar was chosen to wield a wand!" exclaimed Headmaster Orlandous clapping his hands after remaining silent for quite a while himself, which was followed by a confused scattered clapping among the crowd, as we descended from the stage. The event continued after a short discussion among the teaching staff.

"Yes! I got my wand" squeaked Wilburt with excitement taking a standing pose with his wand continuing in grim voice, "Now, I will wipe the evil of this world, because I... alone can do it." and burst into a 'not so heroic' laughter.

"Tell me a spell to shut someone's mouth. Will you?" I requested Eloria displeased, arranging my hair with a spare hair pin, "By the way, I very well remember tying up my hair with a clip which is not here now. Do you know anything about it, Mr. Wilburt Taylor?"

"Oh hey Bendy!" he dodged my question completely, escaping as soon as possible towards Benedict who had become his very first friend here, coming towards us with his familiar Blue in his shoulder. Blue was a chubby blue colored female Aqualion, almost like a ball, shedding cuteness from every angle. I looked at her then looked back at my familiar, cursing myself once again.

He is also cute...at times, a tiny bit, just the tiniest bit, I thought.

"Oh hey Wilburt!" he gave a casual reply exchanging a short, sweet kiss with Eloria.

"Your familiar is so cute!" I exclaimed again for the fifth time after seeing her.
Wil looked at me with a strangely serious face only to utter out,

"Want me too to sit on your shoulder?" as he smiled showing his teeth adding a sarcastic, "...Master." at the end. 4
