After silently walking towards the next lecture of spells, I broke the silence, "Everything's alright, right? I mean, you and me."
She looked at me, smiling somewhat sarcastically, "Yeah, of course, of course." That's the worst comfort I have ever got from anyone, not that there were many, except her.
"C-Cool." As we entered the class of Mr. Augustus.
"Okay, so today we are going to try the attack type spells." After a long explanation on how to do basic types of attacks that will merely cause enough harm for you to escape, he told us the proper flicking movements of our wands.
"Now as we did in previous class, you all will practice the flicking and reciting of spells on the blobnuts."
Blobnuts were the experimental nuts of that world, mostly used in schools to practice magic on. All the students lined up in the courtyard, outside in a line to concentrate on their spells of choice as Mr. Augustus helped those with problems.
"Okay, the first spell is to sprain one's foot to give one time for escaping. I just need to focus and remember the points to control the flow of..." as I speaking this to myself, I felt an enormous amount of pain in my left foot, "...MY ENERGY!!"
I turned to Vess in a poker face looking at my foot, as if glee from inside, pointing her wand back at the blobnut, as I screamed,
"YOU sprained my ankle!!"
"Huh? NO I didn't!" she answered casually pouting, as my ankle healed, still feeling the heat of injury.
"That hurt really bad, you know!" I shrieked at her as my pain soothed away, as she instantly began shouting,
"Yeah? That hurt? What about the time when you blew up my room?"
"I thought you forgave me for..."
"Yeah? When did I say that? – Distorpes!" she casted the spell once more, this time on my right foot, feeling like a train had passes over it.
"What about that, huh? That hurt? I was also hurt when I had to return the students turning at my door for the 'imaginary hangouts with me' you sent them!" she was seriously angry, but why did those thoughts have to come at such a time?
"You want more?" she was raging with fury, so I was left with no choice but to counter attack. I took out my wand as she walked slowly towards me, looking like a complete psycho.
Giving a scary smile, she spoke like a whisper, "Oh! You will attack your master...ha...ha...hahaha"
"Eloria! What's happening to her?" I asked out freaked by this completely new personality of hers, pointing my wand at her. I found Eloria hiding behind the crowd that had gathered around us, shivering as she spoke frailly, "T-This is her mental breakdown, which though short is lethal. I advise you to run, look for the professor, if you want to live."
I was shocked to see the words of headmaster Orlandous coming to such a literal truth, as the wand in my hand started shivering along with me, but I gathered my aura somehow, closing my eyes to avoid her deadly stare, casted – 'Succendus!'
As I opened my eyes I found her standing perfectly still, less scary, forming an invisible shield with her wand, as she mocked me, "Looks like someone should not have left the last class about defensive spells to clear up the mess they made."
I dropped my wand involuntarily, moving behind nervously as she continued to walk towards me, casting at last, the spell used to temporary paralyses the muscles – 'Nervolutis muscula!' as I fell to the ground with my hands and legs rendered useless, as I saw her moving towards me, as I sweated profusely
"I think you two were called in before my class also?" spoke up Mr. Augustus, bringing Vess back to her senses. Never had I been happier to see a bald man in my life, 'cause mostly they were mafia leaders. He flicked his wand at me, curing my paralysis, ordering us to leave.
As we left the class sitting in the mess, I whispered to her breaking the eerie silence once again, "How come, all your anger came out today?"
She cocked her head towards me, staring for a few seconds she replied, sipping her juice, "I usually let all my bad thoughts pass, but it turns out I suppress them rather forgetting them and..."
"...When it reaches threshold value, you burst open?!" I completed her sentence as she hung her head in embarrassment.
After that, we continued with our day with me obeying her more than most days and trying to keep my sarcasm in my pants, in order to save them. And it ended a rather tiring first day. We both landed on her bed.
"Phew, that was tough!" she uttered exhausted.
"Yeah, but it's only four and you need to finish the assignments" saying that word, she tried to deviate me, "Yeah, I will do that..." she continued getting up from the bed, "...but first let's have some refreshments." And headed towards the door.
I said laying on the bed with eyes calmly, "I know you never do your assignments," as she stopped on her way looking back with fear and awe, as I continued opening one eye, "Eloria told me. So I have to make you do it." I grinned as I said that as she finally felt her defeat.
It was twelve in the night and still the evil had caught me on guard. I was in extremely tense situation, thinking of a way to escape the situation, "Oh I remembered! Tomorrow Professor will be absent so we don't need to do this one...."
He interrupted me fluently, "No, no one going anywhere. Go on complete the herbs and flowers to make this potion, or else you know...." He grinned picking up one royal coco-butter cupcakes from my limited stock and gesturing to eat it.
"NO! I am doing it, stop that!" I shouted in panic, head down and trying to find the words to omit onto the stupid sheet on paper, as I heard a click at the door.
Eloria entered through the door along with caramel roaming around her feet.
"Verylssia! What happened? It looks like you are on the verge on breakdown." She hurried towards me as I ran towards her crying, hugging her tightly,
"ELORIA! Save me, this guy is torturing me." And burst into fake cry.
"You bastard! What did you do to her! Caramel!" she chose violence to deal with the matter and I was in no mood to tell her anything. He had been blackmailing me for four hours compelling me to the boring writing, hitting me on the head if I napped in between, taking full control making me look like his familiar.
"Oye! Wait, I was just helping her do her homework..." he shouted jerking back, as I smirked at him, but it was too late as she had already ordered caramel to give him a mild shock from which he recovered in seconds. Damn his powers!
"Homework?" Eloria understood the entire situation, and let go of the crying me.
"You are impossible! Why'd you that?" Eloria scolded me as I acted completely innocent.
"Huh? I did what?" making my voice as childlike as possible, "Who are you anyways?" – Okay that was going overboard I realized.
"Leave her to me. You can sleep in my room tonight. I will make her do it." said Eloria as she dragged me to the table.
"Well, that's good. Let's go caramel!" I responded gleefully as he growled at me, "Still doesn't like me much huh?"
"NO! WILBURT! I choose you. I will choose you over Eloria! She is merciless!" shouted Vess from behind trying to escape the clutches of Eloria, which I have to admit was as furious as her familiar.
"Wilburt, you idiot! That's an order." she shouted while almost crying. The scene looked like a criminal being held back from meeting her loved ones and Eloria was the brutal police.
"Leave!" said Eloria glaring at me which ran a chill down my spine. I left instantly as the sounds of struggle muffled behind me.
I was just about to open Eloria's gate looking forward to good night sleep as I heard a crashing sound from my room as, both Eloria and Verylssia, screamed startled by something. I rushed into the room.
"What happened!?" I said slamming open the door seeing the awestruck faces of those two staring at the wall, where was written,
"You belong to us."
A ball of dark fumes flew from the window smashing against the wall, making the same sound from before and viewing the new text,
"Return. Or you might not be the only one suffering repercussion."
