Three days passed in the blink of an eye, and before Atlanta knew it, she was getting up with a horrible bed head and a bad mood to match on her wedding day, much to the fear of the women present in the bride's bedchambers in Atlantis.
"Atlanta dear, today is your wedding day. Don't you want to get up early and start with all the rituals?", Amphitrite asked her daughter, having an idea about the reason of her daughter's bad mood.
"Go away mumma. I am Lady-"
The Sea Princess gave a cute yawn, and pawed at her eyes before continuing.
"-Perseus Atlanta, daughter of Poseidon and Goddess of Time. Time bends to my will, I won't get up at two thirty in the morning to start whatever rituals are there in store for poor little me. I will wake up when I feel like it. We would be still on time, don't worry."
"Don't you want to get a head start to look pretty for your future husband?", one of the wandering Goddesses, Aphrodite asked in disbelief.
Atlanta looked at Aphrodite with a sleepy scowl. "Phoebus is getting married to me, not to my face. I am sure that he won't mind even if I turn up in my nightshirt and koala printed pajamas at our wedding. He knows I loathe waking up in the morning more than getting my cookies stolen. Now piss off."
With that, the daughter of Poseidon fell back on her pillow with a slight snore, immediately going off to sleep.
The women looked at each other in disbelief, before filing out of the room, knowing that making the Goddess of Destruction mad at you is not good for the lifespan.
Amphitrite was the last to get out of the bedchambers of her daughter, and found Poseidon leaning on the wall outside with a slight smirk on his face.
"Didn't wake up, I presume?"
"No!! How do I make that girl understand that marriage doesn't happen everyday in one's life?!! This will be her only experience, and she is busy sleeping!!"
Poseidon laughed. "I told you my dear, that princess is not going to wake up so early in the morning. I am pretty sure that she knows that this day comes only once in life, but she is choosing to ignore that for the sake of an hour or so of extra sleep."
Amphitrite scowled fiercely at her husband. "I blame you for this. It's your gene acting out, we both know it."
Poseidon nodded his head with a smile. "I accept that blame, I am afraid. Sea cannot be restrained, Trity. Get over it."

Four and a half hours later, Atlanta finally got out of the warm embrace of her lover, also known as bed. Immediately after, she was rushed to her walk-in closet by her ladies-in-waiting and was changed into a loose chiton, before being taken to the Ceremonial Hall of Atlantis once again.
Artemis was standing right on the altar in the middle of the Hall. On seeing the girl who she would be calling sister-in-law by the end of the day, Artemis gave a wide smirk. "Finally woke up, did you? Just in time too, there is just enough time to go through the rituals before your ascension to Olympus."
Atlanta smiled in embarrassment, as she came closer to the altar. "Don't make fun of me Arty, you know how bad my day would go if I don't get my sleep."
Artemis chuckled. "Very true. Now, step forward and and allow one of your ladies-in-waiting to cut a lock of your hair, before you hand it over to me, which would allow me to protect you during your change from a maiden to a married woman."
