(A/N: The title has a double meaning by the way. >:) figure it out...)

Heat beat loud. Could taste the fear on him. I knew I was hurting him but I couldn't stop. I wanted him so badly. But I knew I had to restrain. He wasn't ready; neither was I. I forced myself to pull away, forced my mind to listen to me. STOP! Sky Eyes' eyes were full of tears as he scrambled away from me. He was afraid of me. Everytime I earned his trust I broke it. But I was still hungry. Hungry to taste his skin. To sink my teeth into him and hear him scream. NO! I DON'T WANT TO HURT HIM ANYMORE! But I must. I can't...resist. Can't...c-control. Remember who you are Joseph. Let go of the bloodlust or it will incapacitate you forever. My mind slipped and I took control. My eyesight cleared and I could see the terror in Ian's eyes. It tore me apart inside. "Ian, I-" "No Derp! I can't take this anymore! I can't live in fear!" He bolted up and opened the door, running into the dark corridor. My eyes widened. The Master will find him. He'll hurt him. "I-IAN! COME BACK!" I ran after him, into the dark.

The shadows whipped past me, trying to distract me. I heard his footsteps. Smelt his fear. Heard his pounding heartbeat. "Ian!" "Get away from me!" "No please, I can explain!" The air grew colder around us, my heart pounded too, my lungs aching as I ran faster. I could taste his terror and panic as he screamed for help. "Stop! The Master will hear you! Ian!" I leapt forward, colliding with him. He hit the ground hard, crying out as he scraped his skin on the concrete floor. I got off him and dragged him to his feet, wrapping my arms around him, holding him tightly. He struggled, kicking and biting me. I grit my teeth. "Let go of me!" "Ian please, listen to me! I didn't mean to hurt you! I didn't m-mean to...hurt you...I'm sorry Ian." He whimpered, but eventually stopped struggling, breathing heavily. I held him close for a full minute, listening to his deafening heartbeat as it gradually slowed down. "Ian?" He coughed and loosened my grip, turning in my arms so he was facing me. He didn't say anything, just put his arms round my chest and nestled his head into it, breathing deeply. I realised my shirt was still open. My face heated up. "A-are you ok?" He swallowed. "I think so." His voice was gravelly and hoarse from screaming, like mine was normally. "Are you?" I sighed.

"I'm never ok Ian. I just have varying degrees of misery." He was silent, then I heard him sniff. "Ian?" I realise he was crying quietly. I held him tighter and buried my face in his hair, breathing in his warm scent deeply. "Ian...I'm so sorry...I need to learn to control myself." He sniffed again and I drew away, wiping his tears away with my thumb. He smiled weakly and wiped his nose on his sleeve. "I-It's ok. Th-the shock just g-got to me, th-that's all." I nodded, attempting a weak smile. He smiled back. Suddenly, my ears detected a harsh clanking noise in the distance. I looked around, frowning, realising we were in unfamiliar territory. "Where are we?" The walls looked strange, streaked with dried, reddish stains. I gulped. Ian moved his head away from my chest. "Derp, you might wanna...um..." He gestured to my shirt and I nodded, stepping back and doing up its buttons again. Ian looked around, frowning too. "This place is...creepy. Well, creepier." I blinked and turned my head, narrowing my eyes as the clanking noise persisted. "What is that sound?" I hissed. Ian blinked. "Um Derp, what sound?"

I watch as Derp growls and moves stealthily towards the 'noise', like a predator stalking his prey. I blink, still shaking from earlier. "D-Derp, what are you-?" He snarls and I shut up, biting my tongue. He leans against one of the walls, listening intently, his brow furrowed in concentration. "Sounds like...chains." Then, my stomach growls loudly, louder than Derp can. He looks at me. "But we can come back to noise. Are you hungry still?" I purse my lips and nod. He nods too and leads the way into the blackness again. "Follow me." He pauses briefly to listen once more before discarding the noise and gesturing for me to follow him. I do so, the darkness wrapping itself around my body, it's cold cloak pressing in on my mind, making me doubtful and paranoid. I stumble, blind in the inky blackness. Then, I feel Derp's warm hand take mine and I make out his icy eyes looking at me. "Keep close. No light here, but I can see." I stay close to him like a child as he leads me through the chilling gloom.
