Sat between his legs, his homework being neglected. His lips leaving a kiss on her head, she hummed in joy.
"When's your dad coming home?" Her hands smoothed down a page in his human anatomy book as she waited for his answer. He watched her fingers trace a diagram of the human heart as he focused back on her question. "I think," scratching the back of his neck he continued, "in a few days." She flipped the page as he began to rub her shoulders. She sighed at the feeling, adding to his response, "Do you miss him?"
"Yeah, but, I have you to keep me company now." He hummed at her, a smile appearing from her profile view. He shook his head at that. She was so cute, so shy around him. "Do you enjoy having me around?" Wrapping his arms around her shoulders, his head in the crook of her neck, a kiss to her cheek. "A million times, yes."
Leaning her head back she smiled, pecking his lips lightly, "I love you," he told her as he stared at her. "I love you," she spoke back. His fingers tracing her bottom lip, "I know." Her face scrunching up as she stuck out her tongue. A fit of laughter taking over her tiny body as he pushed her onto the floor. Kissing her face all over; her head, cheeks, nose, eyes, finally her lips, her sweet lips.
