One Year Later.
Song: Ross Copperman - Hunger
Two souls into one flesh.
The clink against the glass sounded around the room. "I'd like to thank everyone for coming." He was smiling, not just now, the whole day. He'd been smiling since he saw her in that short sparkly adaptation of her wedding dress. Fingers sliding down her side, giggles ringing in his ears as he twirled her around. Just a few hours ago they got married; ten years ago they were asking why? Now, here they are, the celebration of ten years in each others lives.
Dorky, stupid, dirty, naughty, smart, sweet, and angry moments filled the years and now was the day to bring them all together and hope for ten more.
"Give me ten!" she shouted from across the room. "How bout' fifty!?" he added. "One hundred!" A smile as bright as the sun that rose that morning, she giggled loudly for everyone, including her husband to hear. The baby in her arms giggled as well, little Joe, she was a darling baby, everyone wanted to hold her. Grier got dibbs most the time; being best friends with her mother had it's perks.
"As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted, thank you all for coming." "You suck, get off the stage!" Looking over, his eyes straight over towards his wife, but of course it was her best friend who was the culprit. He watched as Grier shoved Marley just a tad, baby in hand, it was quite difficult to start a fight. "Jesus, help me." "Preach it!" A fit of laughter filled the room, he heard Grier and Marley's loud and clear.
...
"Ten years ago, you all know the story, a simple message changed two lives forever," Marley spoke slowly into the microphone; clear and happy down towards the young couple in the middle of the dance floor. Sat next to each other, Niall held Griers hands in his lap. They promised each other after ten years they'd have an anniversary and tell each other their lives as far as they'd come, tears and all. It just so happened their wedding would be celebrated the same day. "they've been through... so much in just ten years, their most difficult year was this last one. They wouldn't trade anything, they'd do things differently, but then again... they wouldn't, because they promised they'd be themselves throughout." She looked straight into Grier's eyes, then over to Niall, a tiny nod, she approved dearly of him, from the start.
"Throughout the good," she spoke loudly.
Her hand was gripped between Marley's, ring, the center of attention. "It's beautiful, who knew this bloke was romantic," she laughed as she announced that. Niall chuckled at her wording, not offended, not in the moment, it was too perfect to ruin. "Looks like Marley's been spending too much time around you, mate," Niall spoke up as he smiled over at Liam, Liam simply nodded, kissing Marley's temple and squeezing her tight.
"Marriage, huh?" Grier took another sip of her champagne that Harry had poured into a flute and congratulated her minutes after toasting. They hugged each other tight, Louis next, asking her if she loved the ring, immense amounts of yes' hit her lips.
"I never thought I wanted this so much, marriage, something you do when you're older... But, Niall and I, it's like, like," she stalled, stuck on what to say. Zayn smiled, "lo amas." Grier blushed, besides Niall, she had this little game of languages that she usually spent playing with Zayn, of course, that's when Niall's jealously aloud it. All fun and games, he knew that, still, they teased him.
"Lo amo con todo mi corazón." Clinking his glass against hers, he watched her wipe a stray tear from her cheek. Happiness was them.
